Brilliant location for a short stay in Stockholm. Room was on the smaller side but wonderful views. Our waiter, Channa, at breakfast each day was so lovely and warm - he is an asset to the hotel. Would recommend!

Great hotel in a perfect location. The beds are incredibly comfortable- the most comfortable I've ever experienced at any hotel. So much that I'm looking to buy the same setup out here in San Diego. Loved the bar on the second floor, it's so cozy and feels like it should be staffed/opened more.

Hotel Diplomat is a beautiful hotel in a very central location, close to much of what Stockholm has to offer and about a five-minute walk from Djurgården. We have stayed here several times while visiting the city. This time, we were celebrating my 50th birthday, which made the disappointing experience feel even worse. We arrived shortly before 5 pm, but our room was not ready. At around SEK 6,000 for a Superior Room, we expected a smoother arrival. When we finally got in, a large area of the carpet was wet. We were told that chocolate had been cleaned off it, but that did not explain why such a large area was soaked. We contacted reception several times to ask what had happened and whether anything could be done. We received no follow-up, and after our third call we were offered a fan. We had a dinner reservation an hour after arriving and needed to get ready, so walking around on a wet carpet was far from ideal. We had asked for another room but were initially told that none were available. Rooms appeared to be bookable on the hotel’s website, so we went down to reception to ask again. The response felt dismissive, although we were eventually given another room. Dinner was also underwhelming. The meat I ordered lacked flavour and was not particularly enjoyable. We have enjoyed staying at Hotel Diplomat before, but this visit fell short of what we expected from a hotel of this standard and price, especially for a special occasion. Next time we visit Stockholm, we will likely book somewhere else.

Amazing service by the reception staff that accomodate to my early check-in. Location is perfect for sigh seeing and Scandinavian summer! Some rooms have stairs, do request for non stairs room if it’s a concern.

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel. The restaurant was fantastic. The sauna we beautiful and luxurious. The gym was also great. The front desk staff, Murtaza was super-helpful and accommodating to all of our requests and needs. Highly recommend this hotel for all of these reasons, and it is conveniently located to the ferry that took us to Grinda (also fantastic!)

Excellent location along the port and a short walk to all the high end shops and restaurants. Great food and a charming terrace. When we arrived we were in a sea view room on the first floor and being a weekend it was very noisy. The next day we tried to change rooms but they said the hotel was booked. Later that day we were ready to move to another hotel but talked to Murtaza at the front desk and he moved us to a fantastic room on the 3rd floor and it made a huge difference for our 4 night stay. Thank you Murtaza!

We celebrated our wedding night at Diplomat and I got ready in the beautiful balcony room before the ceremony. Thanks to Murtaza and the rest of the staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. We felt very welcome. The breakfast was delicious. A new tradition!
