Clean, quiet, boutique hotel in the heart of Tamarindo. I stayed in their small apartment and it was lovely! The AC, wifi and fans were great for me to work remotely and stay cool. The hotel is tucked away from noise but still close enough to walk to the beach and other lively bars and restos. I enjoyed using their outdoor pool which was clean and surrounded by greenery. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my 4 day stay. The Italian restaurant out front was delicious and serves homemade pasta for many of its dishes. The pizza was also great! I will stay here next time I visit!

It is a very nice hotel, in the middle of Tamarindo. Close to supermarket, the night market, ... , close to everything. The room was very good, comfortable bed, AC, nice pool. But the best was Angelo, he was always helping people, always with a nice mood, really enjoying his job. We lost our key, he stayed longer than he must in order to support us and help us get an extra key. He was playig nice music and making Pura vida vibes. This is the kind of worker who makes a difference. In addition, the rooms were very clean 👌🏼

Great location, no issues with parking, comfy room with a good shower and aircon. Outside areas were lovely and well cared for, pool was great. Wildlife in the trees to back. Breakfasts were really good and staff were welcoming and professional. We had a great stay. We loved Tabu bar 5 mins away on the beach and Oveja restaurant just across the road. Nearby supermarket

We loved staying at this quaint hotel easy walking distance to the beach. The breakfast is amazing and made fresh while we were sitting and enjoying our coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed having the two cats to interact with while we were there. Our room air conditioner had an issue and they did their best to fix it even though it was on a weekend. Checking in and checking out was super easy. Staff speaks English. Do not miss the amazing Italian restaurant that is at the very front of this hotel. The food is Michelin quality they had 25 specials and that did not include the full menu. I was traveling with two women friends and we highly recommend this quaint friendly hotel!

The Hotel Boruca is an older hotel, but very well maintained. The rooms and premises were clean. A highlight of our stay was the excellent and friendly service of the manager/owner Marascio, the breakfast waitress, and the waiters in the restaurant. Speaking of food, the breakfasts were delicious--and oh how wonderful the food was in the restaurant. The hotel is located close to a grocery store, banks, and the beach. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend the Hotel Boruca to others.

Pretty nice hotel, location is great to the beach and bars/restaurants. Rooms are a bit old and noisy, woke up 6:00 in the morning thought I left all windows open but it’s just really bad glazing. Service and staff were excellent and friendly. Would even make us a small fruit bowl breakfast in case we missed the normal breakfast time due to a tour 👍🏻. In my opinion complaining about the street and the condition it is in is something the hotel can’t be blamed for.

I loved our stay with Hotel Boruca. It felt cozy and personal. To me, this is a more authentic experience of Costa Rica than a lot of what the newer Tamarindo developments offer. The rooms are simple and comfortable, the location can't be beat for being close to the action without being in the middle of the noise all the time, and the staff is wonderful!
