Where can I eat near Hotel Santa Isabel?

For a meal near Hotel Santa Isabel, try Restaurante Alfileritos 24, La Abadía Cervecería Artesana, or Restaurante La Orza, all mentioned as local tapas favorites. Closer to the hotel, Taberna el Botero is just 150 meters away, and Belvis Restaurante is about 200 meters, serving Spanish dishes. You'll also find Cafe Del Fin, La Campana restaurante, and Cerveceria Lupulo within a short walk. The hotel's own rooftop terrace is a nice spot for a drink, though it's not a restaurant. For more options, Plaza de Zocodover is a short walk away, where you can find additional bars and cafés.

What is the area around Hotel Santa Isabel like?

The hotel sits on a quiet side street in Toledo's historic quarter, just a 3-minute walk from the Cathedral and 6 minutes from the Alcázar. The area is packed with landmarks: the Church of Saint Thomas the Apostle is 4 minutes away, and the Sinagoga de Santa María La Blanca is 6 minutes on foot. You are also within an 8-minute walk of the Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes and the Mirador del Valle viewpoint. The streets are narrow and cobbled, typical of the old town, and Plaza de Zocodover is a short stroll for a central meeting point. Nearby dining includes Restaurante Alfileritos 24, La Abadía Cervecería Artesana, and Restaurante La Orza for local tapas.

How do I get to Hotel Santa Isabel from the airport or main train station?

From Toledo's train station, take city bus 5, 22, 61, or 62 to Plaza de Zocodover, the last stop, then walk about 15 minutes downhill to the hotel. A taxi from the station can drop you right outside the hotel, which is easier with luggage on the narrow, cobbled streets. If you arrive by car, the hotel has parking garages, one on site and two across the street, but the streets are narrow, so you may prefer to park at the station and take a taxi. The hotel is about 1.8 km from the train station and 50.4 miles from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, so a pre-booked transfer or taxi is the practical option from the airport.

For a stroll, the Mirador del Valle is an 8-minute walk away, giving you a lovely view of the city lights. Plaza de Zocodover, a few blocks away, is a lively square where you can find more bars and cafés. The historic streets around the hotel are pleasant for an evening wander, with the Cathedral and Alcázar beautifully illuminated.

Classic hotel in the old city. Quiet area around the hotel, just a short walk from the cathedral. Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. Service at reception was super friendly. I was allowed to park my bicycle in the garage downstairs, no extra fee charged. Amazing value!

This is a beautiful, comfortable and conveniently located little hotel. And Lucia at reception was heaven-sent. We had a difficult time getting here and she could not have been more helpful and patient (especially considering we failed to call ahead to reserve parking as suggested). Don’t forget to go to the roof deck!!

We stayed two nights at the Santa Isabel Hotel. The location is excellent in the old town, just a few minutes’ walk from the cathedral, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Indeed, everything is within walking distance. The hotel is a wonderful and atmospheric refurbishment (rebuild, really) of a fine old town house. We had a standard double. It was compact and furnished simply. Modern bathroom, comfortable bed, impeccably clean, good storage, effective A/C. Note – no tea/coffee making tray. Staff were pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast was poor, presumably a reflection of the fairly low room rates. It was a cold continental style breakfast served at your table. Very limited choice, although the glass of orange juice was freshly squeezed.

This hotel’s management is very much below par. We wasted well over half an hour after our arrival before being allowed to access the room we had fully paid for in advance because the management claimed they had no record of our booking and demanded proof that we had in fact already paid. Their whole argument fell apart when we showed them several emails the hotel had sent us confirming the booking, telling us the check-in time and asking if we needed car-parking! Their excuse was to say they didn’t know Trip.com, through whom the reservation was made, because they only ever get clients sent to them by Bookings.com or *******, which makes no sense at all. Of course, there was no subsequent gesture of regret by the management after having caused us to have to put up with this farce on arrival - an upgrade to a better room should have been the very least they could have done. The room we stayed in, however, was adequate and the hotel location good, but we will certainly never stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. The hotel is in a good location, all the staff are very helpful. The decor is in keeping with the historic location. Roof terrace is a great place to sit with a bottle of wine and enjoy the views.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Santa Isabel in Toledo. The hotel truly exceeded our expectations, especially because of its beautiful historic vibe that perfectly matches the charm of the city. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the terrace - the views from there are absolutely stunning and unforgettable. It’s the perfect place to relax and take in the atmosphere of Toledo. We also had breakfast at the hotel, and it was excellent, with an authentic Spanish touch that made the experience even more special. The only regret was that we only stayed for one night! 🥹
