We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It had an excellent location. The lobby area is nicely designed. The water in the room was hot and strong. It was clean. Although it only provides the most basic items, we are OK with that as we stayed in a four-star hotel in Buenos Aires and got the same items. I guess that is the standard. There is no complimentary water in the room, but you can get hot water in the dining room while it is open. We will come back and stay in the same room if we visit Ushuaia again.

Our room wa booked via ”Quark expedition” and count as day 1, fee was included in the package. The room we stayed was far worse than those Google picture provided by official. As the fleet has over 100 guests and most of us stayed in the same hotel, everyone checkout at similar time, I could see their rooms were also rustic and worn out as ours. All in 3rd floor. Please see my pictures provided. And the toilet was much smaller and old style than the official picture. I guess it was a different grade and lower class of rooms that offered to Quark. If I was being aware the situation, I would not book 1 more night at the same hotel which charged around usd 150. Wall is too thin and we could listen conversation from next room very clear and they didn’t speak out loud actually. Breakfast had too less choices, coffee provided is powder make, not from machine brew. We need got out to another coffee shop to have our second breakfast. Having said that, the good point is the double bed are so big, bigger than King size and very comfy. And location is the best, just 5 min from the meeting point of our Antarctica expedition.

The room looks old but clean. The location is the best. You can just 5 mins walk to take cruise and bus to visit the national park.

It’s fine if you just need a place to stay for a night but overall I just felt like I was inconveniencing the front desk by being there. There was someone in my private room, which they were a bit defensive about before ultimately realizing their mistake and apologizing. Also their gym/sauna/spa looks nice but has very limited hours during the day. Ultimately all the mistakes were understandable, I know they’re trying their best. Served its purpose for my night in town but idk that I’d stay again unless I had to.

Stayed here mainly because it was part of a G Adventures itinerary, and extended a few extra nights for convenience. Unfortunately, the experience during those extra days was quite disappointing. We asked the front desk about a day tour and were given an initial price that seemed reasonable. When we came back ready to book, the price had suddenly increased significantly. The staff member who quoted us earlier then said he did not remember giving that price, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. We also used the hotel restaurant a few times for convenience, but the food quality was inconsistent across visits. At checkout, I was charged for four meals, including one that belonged to other guests. There was no detailed itemized invoice provided at the time of payment, which felt unusual, and I had to follow up afterward to clarify and correct the charges. After some back and forth, a refund was eventually issued. The billing system did not seem well organized. Overall, the stay felt disorganized and unreliable in several key areas, especially around pricing and billing.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location! Take a room away from the street because there are cars racing up the main street at 02:00 , they woke me up every night, even with the window closed. The room and bathroom are lovely and comfortable but the shower floor is slippery, there is a grab bar. The staff was terrific! Nice views from the restaurant and the bar

Small and hot room with absolutely no amenities. Lots of explanations of what is not provided. Veronica at the front desk was helpful and in fairness we did get the fan we asked for. That said if all you care about is location and access to tourist facilities and restaurants this is great.

Let me preface this review by saying we’re from Canada and have stayed in a range of hotels from total dives to 5 stars. We’re not especially fussy travellers. |Wifi did not work in our first room. We were told someone would come to fix it but they didn’t. |At the time of booking and at check in we requested to be in the same room for all 3 nights as one regular room had been booked by our cruise company and I booked the last two. The last two nights were a suite and we were willing to be in either room type to avoid the hassle of moving. At check in we were told we could stay in the same room but needed to sign a paper saying we agreed to the downgraded room. When we returned that evening to do so we were told we’d need to move to the suite as a regular room was no longer available. We protested and were told we could remain in the regular room. When we asked about the rate we were told it would be for the same price as the suite ($500 US/nt). What?! Naturally we moved to the suite. |There was no apology for the lack of information about the rate and not telling us the change would only be made once we signed this paper.|When we moved into the suite, it was 25*C. No A/C which we understood given the local climate but opening the windows meant excessive light and noise.|Even at the height of tourist season in a large city, for $500 US/nt I would not expect scuffed furniture and walls, chipped tile, no facial tissue or hand lotion, etc. |Breakfast buffet had something to appeal to most (unless you have Celiac) and I did love the fresh pear juice. |Also mildly stressful was that there were no tags for luggage storage. We were told there was a camera which doesn’t prevent anyone from taking it in the first place.
