We had a wonderful time staying at Verso. We booked one of their experiences that included the hottub, breakfast, 3 course dinner, and drinks. It was such a lovely time and all of the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Located in a safe part of cerro Florida next to la Sebastiana with an incredible view of Valparaiso. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a good place for a romantic evening

It's been a while since I had a bad experience in a hotel as i carefully read reviews on TripAdvisor, booking, agoda before choosing a hotel. When visiting Valparaíso, i did so, reading many reviews before choosing me hotel as it was mostly to of the list on traveller ranking. The room was very small, on the ground floor by the road and the noise at night of the passing cars, the dogs barking and the noise from reception didn't allow me to sleep until midnight using ear plugs. Furthermore, at check in, I was first given room 104 and to my surprise it was not cleaned or ready for the next customer. I was then moved to room 102 and although it was small, by the road, it was cozy. Unfortunately, it was dusty, with dead bugs on the curtains and I had to clean a few furniture before I could settle down. When time came to go to bed, I opened the bed sheets, and to my disgust, the bed sheets didn't get changed after the previous customer, but the bed was done nicely to avoid suspicion. I always checked the bed sheets in any hotel as Unfortunately, in this case, the bed sheets had hair, dead skin and small blood stains. I was so disgusted and called the receptionist who kindly offered to move me to another room upstairs, but I was worried the state of the room would be the same and just asked for some new bed sheets, bed covers and pillow covers. She kindly offered to pick up the dirty bed sheets and profusely apologised. The next day, not a single apology from the manager or the team. I cannot believe I paid 70 dollars for that. Manager, monitor your cleaning team as this was unacceptable |

The hotel is very nice. Great hot tub and safe parking and helpful staff! The rooms are very tight and difficult to get around.. The location is in a very steep area and we felt semi safe but it’s grubby- dog poop everywhere on the sidewalks and lots of garbage , unkept homes…

We stayed at the Verso for two days as a family wedding was being held there. The hotel is very well managed with a great staff. The rooms were clean and well set out. Food was excellent with a good breakfast offered. Marcelo the manager sets a great example to his staff who obviously follow his lead by offering guests a most enjoyable experience staying at Verso. If I return to Santiago I will return to this establishment.

My partner and I were glad we chose to stay at the Verso Hotel during our visit to Valparaiso and neighboring Viña del Mar, which is just a 20-minute bus ride away. The hotel is super modern and stylish, with clean, comfortable rooms. The staff was very attentive and helpful, with everything from check-in to directions around the city to restaurant recommendations, though it is a major plus that the hotel has an excellent rooftop restaurant on property with amazing views. We also liked that the hotel is located in the Cerro Florida, a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood, and just blocks away from the museum of Pablo Neruda's famed La Sebastiana house. And the hotel features secure, enclosed parking, which was really nice and provided peace of mind. There were, however, a few downsides to the hotel. First, the WiFi was very weak, requiring guests to venture into the hallway to obtain a signal. Second, the modern design of the hotel rooms feature sliding glass doors that frame both the toilet and shower area, which provide zero privacy when sharing a room. My partner and I have been together 15 years and were not quite prepared for that level of "intimacy." Third, our particular room, located right above the hotel entrance / reception area was one of the few that did not have air conditioning, which caused the room to become somewhat stuffy during the afternoon sunshine. It would have been nice had this been brought to our attention upon check-in so that we may have opted for a different room location. Overall the positives far outweighed the negatives. We were happy with our choice to stay at the Verso Hotel and would gladly recommend it to others visiting Valparaiso.

Best Hotel in Valparaiso! Service was excellent and very professional. The hotel has a super cozy and modern setup and the best view over Valparaiso from the bar on the rooftop. There's also a hot tub on the rooftop where you can relax while enjoying the amazing view over the city! The food was delicious and the breakfast has a lot to choose from. The room I stayed in had also a great view over the city. They even have Netflix on the TV for those who enjoy it. Super helpful staff and very friendly. They knew about all the good things and places to go see in Valparaiso. I had a small injury and they helped me with everything I needed and were available at all times! Location was great as well and it is quite close to some of the attractions that are a must see! I Totally recommend this Hotel 100% they will not disappoint!

We stayed here for a few days in November, and used it as our base to explore the surroundings. The hotel rooms are on the small side, but we spent little time apart from sleeping in the room itself. The restaurant was quite good, I had a sous vide beef dish that was delicious. Andrés is a real bon vivant, his recommendations of San Pedro for locos (abalone) on the waterfront and Maria Maria for brunch were both excellent. My wife and I became fans of the French 75 and the coffee infused Negroni from the bar. My wife, daughter and myself quite enjoyed our stay.

Modern in design, this boutique hotel blends sustainable architectural elements with Chilean poetry--unusual and intriguing. While the rooms are uber functional, ours was also uber-tiny: Fine for just one night. The ode to poetry throughout the lobby and garden is intentional, as the home of famed poet and Nobel Laureate, Pablo Neruda, named La Sebastiana, is located just one street away. This alone makes Verso the perfect place from which to explore the neighborhood, while we also enjoyed the urban landscape of graffiti murals (and took all too many photos of these). The star of the hotel space is actually upstairs on the roof with a restaurant of superlative standard. We made a reservation for 7 PM, while most Chileans do not dine til 8 to even 9 PM, so we found ourselves alone in the room with a fabulous expansive view of the port and coastline. Bar manager Christian provided detailed explanations and samples of Chilean spirits, while Savio, our server, offered advice on the dinner fare. We shared mostly fish dishes due to Valpo's seaside location. Most notable: citrus curry snapper topped with edible flowers and grilled sea bass served with local salsa in a pool of thick tomato broth. Outstanding in flavor and presentation. Pure poetry!
