We had a wonderful stay at Archway Motel Wanaka. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the small details that make guests feel welcome. The facilities were excellent, especially the spa and playground, which our family really enjoyed. The newer part of the property is modern, stylish, and beautifully maintained. The location is convenient, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the reception was friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wanaka.

Best motel we’ve stayed at throughout our entire 2 week trip through the south island. Studio room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, with cutlery and crockery for all your cooking needs. The owner at the reception was also very warm and receptive, giving us local recommendations and made our stay extremely pleasant. Would stay here again if I ever visit Wanaka again!

Last minute stay diverting from Queenstown, very spacious rooms, very clean, comfy beds and for the price it was a perfect stay. We had a pretty rough day on the roads and the owners were very welcoming and even offered us free access to the spa. Would recommend

Booked the Superior Access Chalet for one night 3/29/2026 through Chase Travel. Location was convient for grocery store and resturant. Room was clean and parking was adequate. Price was good for time of year booking. Atmosphere and service was good; staff was very helpful providing directions and options for eating and shopping. Amenities were good, an extra kitchen towel would be helpful. 2 adults & 2 teenagers

Was originally meant to stay at Peppers Lake Tekapo but after 1 night we left early and headed here and it was better. The room was clean and modern as it has just recently been renovoted. We had a lovely stay and it was close to town and all the shops. Wished we booked this for the 2 nights instead of Peppers. Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Fantastic stay at Archway Motels while in Wanaka for the Southern Lakes marathon! Friendly and helpful owners, beautifully redecorated rooms. Perfect location easily walkable to amenities. Hot tub was amazing after our run! Highly recommend to all!

Really nice rooms and friendly staff, little hassle. However, considering the amount of money you are spending on staying here, they still expect their guests to pay for laundry. I’m very supposed that isn’t an included curtesy service for their guests considering the price of staying here. May be a small thing for some, but we were a little bothered by it.
