We had to book here very last minute, only arriving after 10pm on the back of a tow truck! The couple looking after the motel were amazing, super helpful and very literally helped us in every way possible during a minor crisis. The rooms were so comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Very clean rooms, lovely beds, great bathrooms with all amenities provided. Everything was fairtrade and recyclable where possible. |I would very definitely recommend anyone to stay here, Ian and Sue went above and beyond to help us out and make our stay as stressfree as possible.

Accommodation was really great! Beds were super comfortable and had everything you need. Location is awesome , short walk from everything in town. The staff was super friendly and took time to explain the layout of the town. We were really happy with our stay

Staff at reception were very accommodating, as decided to stay in Wanaka at the last minute. Heating had been put on to warm up our apartment before we arrived and also provided some great local dining options. Would certainly stay again.

Response from the property

Thanks Wendy, Even last minute bookings late at night we can ensure your room is warm and ready for your arrival. Kind regards Megan

The room was clean, but dated paint flaking off the windows and doors. Bed was good heated blankets included. Right next to main road so quite noisy in the morning however nice and close to town. The TV is deseptive the ad says Flat screen but fails to mention it's from 2010. Not bad for a budget stay.

Response from the property

Thanks Brady. Much appreciated and its great your stay was comfortable. The property is due for a full refurbishment in 2027. so we are aware of the the Tvs requiring an upgrade. we are also looking forward to modernising the rooms and the technology of smart TVs. We do have superior rooms available that do have these modern facilities. we look forward to you staying again. Kind regards Megan

The apartment is a reasonable size, and although the furniture is quite dated, everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was close to the road, so it was a bit noisy in the morning due to passing traffic. The biggest issue during my stay was the Wi-Fi, which was very unstable and kept disconnecting and reconnecting.

Response from the property

Thanks for your review we have put in extra routers in attempt to rectify the WIFI speed. Our main issue is that the increase in population in a small town slows down the Wifi it's related to the capacity in town and not an independent motel issue. Kind regards Megan

The room we stayed in was past it's days, tired looking with stains on carpet and paint peeling off walls. Sliding door was difficult to open. Bed was terrible with saggy mattress and can feel the springs. I adjusted the light above the bed and cakes of dust fell off. We were charged $300 for the privelige of staying the night. Definitely not worth the money.

Great location, great value, however there were a few things wrong, issues with toilet/shower head, bed side light.

Response from the property

Hi Thanks Paul. We are in the final stages of a full refurbishment due early 2027. but we still maintain the property and price our rooms accordingly. We offer great service and cleanliness and we do have superior rooms at the property if you wish for a higher end room type its available.
