Absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was huge, with a smooth and hassle-free check-in. It had a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, making it feel just like home. The highlight was definitely the incredible balcony overlooking Lake Wanaka - the view was absolutely stunning. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with excellent water pressure. The kitchen was so well stocked and spacious that we couldn’t resist cooking our own meals. Everything we needed was there, making it incredibly convenient. We only wish we could have stayed a few more days. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The room was very spacious, and considering the price, it offered excellent value for money. The cleanliness was outstanding—everything was spotless, including the kitchen equipment and refrigerator. The views of the lake and swimming pool were absolutely beautiful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The room was very well equipped, with multiple heaters and air conditioning, so it was comfortable in any season. The kitchen was large and fully equipped, making it very convenient for cooking. There was also a free and secure private parking space available for each room, which was very convenient. Booking directly through the hotel’s website was easy, and communication via email was quick and efficient. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. The location is another big plus—it’s very close to the town center and within walking distance. The only minor downside was that the shower water pressure was not very strong. Other than that, everything was excellent. Highly recommended!

We’ve been visiting Wānaka for over 15 years at least once a year, sometimes twice and it all started as a one-night stop on a motorhome trip to Queenstown. We were so captivated by the natural beauty and magic of Wānaka that we stayed for the rest of our trip… and we’ve been coming back ever since. Over 10 years ago, we discovered Lakeside Apartments, and we simply wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The location is unbeatable, with breathtaking lake and sunset views and easy walking access to everything restaurants, bars, parks, walking trails, and the charm of the town centre. The apartments themselves are incredibly well-appointed, spotless, and genuinely feel like a home away from home. It never feels like a hotel stay we’re always comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease. The team are consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating, which makes every visit feel personal and special. Lakeside Apartments is truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, anywhere in the world. It’s a huge part of why we keep returning to Wānaka year after year. Whether it’s daily hikes, lakeside walks, or simply wandering through the town exploring its lovely shops, cafés, and restaurants, everything we love is right at our doorstep. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. We already have our next stay planned for 2027.

When we stay at Wanaka we always stay at Lakeside Apartments, which is at least once a year. Love it. It's simply the best. Location excellent, Comfy beds and clean linen and daily cleans and top ups. The staff are always so friendly and onto everything. Never had problems with noise. You get a single garage to park in which is awesome. You pay for what you get. Highly recommend Lakeside and Warren the pussy cat always has a pat albeit short and to the point!

Another great stay at Lakeside. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. Ideal for families or an adult group as 2 king beds and 2 singles,. The apartment is well designed, very roomy and well equipped. Comfortable lounge seating for 6 ,TV and internet excellent. Daily servicing a bonus and much appreciated. The pool and spa a little chilly but the males braved it.

What a fantastic place. We booked for two nights and then decided to stay a third. Joy was very helpful in finding a way for us to stay in the same room. An easy walk to town, but I could have just sat on the veranda and looked at the lake view the whole time. Lots of space, super comfy beds, spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything you’d need, but there are so many great restaurants within walking distance we didn’t use it much.

Our stay was fantastic at Lakeside apartments! We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and got upgraded to a penthouse suite!!! It was the most beautiful and spacious apartment I've stayed at with a hot tub and huge patio overlooking the lake filled with fall colors. Accommodations were extremely clean and had everything we needed on our short 2 night stay. Truly a magical place in Wanaka with a wonderful, friendly host to greet us upon arrival and checking out. High recommendations!
