3 adults came to DC for a race event and somewhat randomly chose The Arc. It was an absolutely great experience. Couple of blocks walk from the Metro with several dining options and even a Whole Foods and 7-11 with easy access. Rooms were clean, staff extremely friendly. Caitlin (sp?) at the front desk was amazing. Very friendly with a bubbly personality, answered all of our questions and even held our bags when we arrived earlier than the check in time. We don't expect to return to DC, but if we do, we will certainly return to The Arc.

I had a mixed experience at the Arc hotel with the staff being absolutely fantastic and other aspects of the physical property being average. First, the overall feeling was that of a tired hotel that is due for a remodel and the hallways did have a slightly musty smell. The room was large and comfortable. However, the mattress should probably be replaced as it definitely fell tired. The shower was good bathroom fixtures definitely not new but everything was in good. Working order. Workspace was great hotel room was dark and quiet at night which made for a fairly good night sleep. Location is absolutely fantastic if you’re looking to see some sites or enjoy Georgetown. Overall, well average I would stay again just because of location, Price and people.

I book a room with 2 queens bads , we received 1 double bad plus a couch , no linen bad for couch, no pilows.At bothroom , towels just for 2 persons and all needs soup...blablabla just for one person.At small bar just 2 pot cofee, 1 tee, no sugar , no cream....When we ask about thay sad please cone down at lobe and we will provided.....is not normal for any hotel this kind of treatment clients. Not a great facilities of food...and the prices hight....

I had an awesome experience here. Kayla was one of the receptionists and was very kind and helpful. This hotel is in a super cute old district of DC. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the National Mall. but you can easily pick up a scooter or bike and get there much faster. I took the metro from IAD and it took me about an hour to get to the hotel.

Mixed Experience at ARC Hotel – Great Location, but Room for Improvement The location of ARC Hotel is great, close to the Metro, Whole Foods, and plenty of restaurants, making it convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. However, the hotel is still undergoing renovations, and you can see construction work happening on almost every floor. The TVs in the rooms are quite old and currently support Google Chromecast, but it’s disappointing that you can’t cast from Netflix or other streaming services. The rooms are spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom is decent. However, the bathtub doesn’t drain water quickly, so you end up standing in your own soapy water while showering. The bed has a spring mattress that wasn’t particularly comfortable, though the sheets were fine. There’s a mini market in the lobby with a reasonable selection of items, but the prices are a little high. The lobby itself is a large, shared space that was previously a restaurant and is now used for lounging, working, and eating.

New Marriott hotel. Travis the manager was simply amazing, he took great care of me and my family. He even gave us a recommendation for the Hamilton restaurant which again was amazing. Housekeeping was great. I just found my new go to in DC. I wish they offered a breakfast buffet or even had a grill. Sandwiches were ok. Great stay.

Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this Marriott location. This Marriott property cancelled our reservation ON THE VERY DAY WE WERE SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE, notifying us by email just hours before check-in (and we have already checked in on the app the day before). Their explanation? They were overbooked, and they simply decided that we were the ones who could be sacrificed. Apparently, a confirmed reservation means nothing when this hotel decides it has too many guests. What made this experience even worse was how we were treated when we called. Marriott staff falsely claimed they had previously called us, and rather than taking accountability for the situation, offering a sincere apology, or making any meaningful effort to help, they demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism and basic customer service. Not one interaction left us feeling valued as customers. We were met with excuses instead of solutions and indifference instead of accountability. We have been a Marriott family for years, which makes this experience particularly infuriating. We trusted the brand, made our plans based on a confirmed reservation, and expected the bare minimum: that our room would be available when we arrived. Instead, we were left scrambling at the last minute and treated as though our inconvenience was inconsequential. After dealing with multiple Marriott employees throughout this ordeal, we have completely lost faith in the brand. Marriott’s reputation means absolutely nothing if customers cannot trust a confirmed reservation or expect to be treated with basic respect when things go wrong. Overbooking may happen, but choosing to cancel a guest’s reservation hours before arrival without even the courtesy of a genuine apology or meaningful assistance is a failure of both service and accountability.
