If you looking for clean room with normal furniture, and normal check in process in Zadar, don't even think about staying here. The owner hadn't given us the code beforehand, so we couldn't get in. We tried to contact her multiple times by phone and Viber, WhatsApp, without success. The neighbour help us contact her from his phone. In the room you can find old furniture, torn curtains and etc. But be honest the location is great, only that. Don't recommend!

Great views and central location but…. The rooms are lovely, very authentic and the views of the cathedral are stunning. However, as other reviews have mentioned they are VERY hard to find. |A simple sign on the door would rectify this. In the room we had some issues - the WiFi didn’t work, the hairdryer was broken, the bedding had holes in it and the bed and pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. We messaged the host a few times and also asked if we could have a slightly later checkout but had no response until the morning we left saying no- the cleaners are coming at 10am. In my opinion it’s not value for money and I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room is okay, however it could have been cleaner. The location and view from the window is great! The worst thing is the lack of soundproofing. I was staying on the first floor and could hear every step my neighbors upstairs made, since the building is old, the sounds are not only super loud, but also creaking. I usually use earplugs while sleeping but here they didn’t help at all. If you are sensitive to noise, avoid staying here.

Teresa, the guest relations manager, provided exceptional service from check-in to departure, making our stay at Luxury Rooms Contessa Vitali truly memorable. The accommodation exceeded all expectations with its impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful presentation of every detail. The location is perfect - situated directly across from the stunning Cathedral of St. Anastasia and within walking distance of Zadar's most important landmarks, including the Church of Saint Donato and Church of St. John the Baptist. Having dm-drogerie markt and other essential amenities right at our doorstep, plus numerous restaurants serving excellent cuisine and gelato, made exploring the historic city incredibly convenient. This is undoubtedly the ideal base for discovering Zadar's rich cultural heritage while enjoying luxurious comfort and outstanding dining options.

Lack of basic hygiene. Toilet was full of hairs and still very dirty. Also in the bed we found several hairs. The only thing the hostess would say is: ‘thank you for letting me know’. In the meantime we had a dirty room. She did not even show a basic form of respect and did not even have the courtesy to apologise or to make a concession. Very impolite hostess. I would not call these rooms ‘luxury rooms’ at all, as they don’t even have cleaned toilets and bed sheets. I have seen hostels that were cleaner than these ‘luxury rooms’. Embarrassing.

I very enjoyed my stay here. The room was exactly as pictured, and quite beautiful. Lovely view of the cathedral and square with large windows that open. Ideally located to all you need to see and do, I recommend highly. BUT, with a few caveats: keep everything in writing...the owner seems a bit distracted but she is charming. There was no soap nor coffee or tea in the room. Not a big deal but when I asked, she never made it by to bring them. Some of the furnishings were in need of repair, but the bathroom was fabulous. If you love a good location and a pretty view, this is the place for you. Be aware that breakfast is off-site and there is no one on site if you need something..

Stayed here six nights just before the start of the tourist season, and it is honestly the most comfortable hotel or air BNB accommodations I've ever stayed in. Firstly, this isn't a traditional hotel with a front desk or turndown service or anything, so don't go in expecting it. It's a room in a historic building with a very comfortable bed, an incredible view out the window, a mini fridge, and easy walking access to Old Town Zadar. I had no issues with any smell in the bathroom, nor any problems with the shower-- in fact I adored that shower. Always had hot water, plenty of space, very comfy. The window was marvellous. You could open the top for some air or the side to look out on the courtyard. When closed and locked, the sound outside, including the church bell, was much quieter and never bothered me. Never used the tv, but the AC has a remote and a setting with white noise that sounds like the ocean. If you need towels, sheets, directions, or help booking day trips or airport shuttles, Tereza was always very helpful and friendly. I always emailed her if I needed anything. Personally, I couldn't have asked for a better room. It was so convenient to Old Town, very close to the airport bus stop, parking, and the cruise line. It's located above a great gelato place, and easy to find as it's close to the tallest bell tower in Old Town. Next time I stay in Zadar, this place is at the top of my list to stay again.

We booked this room through Trip Masters. |When we arrived, we got to the address and they didn’t have a sign so we walked around forever until a we found it. We called to get the key and the number was disconnected. We had to call Trip Masters who was able to contact the owner. We finally got the code to get in and wish we hadn’t because we were disappointed with the room. The bathroom is remodeled but there’s an old picture hanging and behind it was a hole in the wall. The bed was stiff and the carpet was very worn. The entrance to the property was dirty along with the side entrance. We didn’t feel safe there. We tried to cancel but Trip Masters who booked it through Expedia was of no help. It was non- refundable even though it didn’t look like the pictures. We would not recommend.
