Just returned from a lovely visit to Zurich staying at the Novotel . On arrival check in gentleman was very helpful and explained we had been given an upgrade which was nice . Bedroom was adequate and clean . View of the square. We ate in the bar terrace area every night for ease as else had our 12 year old son . The bar staff were exemplary always busy never standing around and provide excellent service. Hold onto them ! Pool was small but clean and adequate . But noisy with children our second night and appeared to be no parents supervising .|We decided to eat breakfast at the hotel during our stay so only negative was reception didn’t tell us breakfast times vary for through the week so we thought breakfast was on until 11 on Monday morning and arrived 9.55 and were told we had 5 minutes to grab our food before the restaurant closed . The server was a bit abrupt in his manner which I get but it wasn’t our fault and he could have delivered the message in a better manner knowing that the food was all our for breakfast .

We had a great stay. Nice rooms and the hotel is conveniently located near a tram station to get into the city centre. Really nice and friendly staff. Thank you Thomas and Skerdi for looking after us during our meal at the hotel's restaurant (the Flave). Really nice food and great service. If you can't decide which beer to have with your meal, why not try 'the barrel', which is a small glass of each.

Artem and Julia were absolutely wonderful at the reception! Both were extremely welcoming, polite, and professional. Their warm attitude and excellent service made my experience even more enjoyable. They truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. A special thanks to both of them for their outstanding hospitality. Keep up the great work! 😊

it has a bed, shower, toilet. On the plus side: I loved how the shower is instantly hot with the buttons. I did not think the breakfast was worth the price, so I got better food to less money outside the hotel. the location is industrial. it was fine. the staff were very kind and helpful, i thought. I think the main advantages a hotel like this has are very pragmatic: it was near work, and reasonably priced. As an international traveler, I would like to check in when I arrive after a long flight and not have to wait until 3pm. There could be a fee/option to prepare the room earlier for that special case.

We had a very unpleasant experience with the front desk staff during what appeared to be the night shift. My parents and brother were staying in one room, exactly as declared in the reservation. Early in the morning, my brother stepped out for a walk without taking the room key. When we were getting ready to check out at around 5:30 a.m., he returned to the hotel and was immediately confronted by the front desk employee, Akos. Instead of politely verifying whether he was a guest, the staff member approached him in an aggressive and accusatory manner, as though he had done something wrong. We completely understand that ensuring only registered guests enter the property is part of the front desk’s responsibility, and asking one or two questions is perfectly reasonable. However, once we confirmed that he was staying with us, the questioning should have ended. Instead, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Rather than calming things down, Akos continued to argue, raised his voice, and made the interaction increasingly confrontational. The behavior was extremely unprofessional. We appreciate that working the night shift can be stressful and that hotel staff have to deal with many challenging situations, but that does not justify treating paying guests with hostility. We felt as though we were being treated like intruders rather than welcomed guests. The manner in which my brother was singled out and confronted was deeply upsetting and, from our perspective, came across as discriminatory. It is unfortunate that what had otherwise been a pleasant stay ended on such a disappointing note.

The hotel is great and Loic, our server for the Friday evening bbq, is the shining star of this establishment. I mentioned liking an artist and he set up for the DJ to play them! He was so lovely and took the time to write us a list of places we would be able to enjoy during our stay with our very spirited children. He even escorted our little one to the buffet himself to show her there was most certainly food she would like! This hotel clearly hires people who truly enjoy all kinds of kinds and I recommend 10/10 for families, business folks, and travelers.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Zurich City-West. The location is great, in a quiet neighbourhood and just a short tram ride from Zurich HB. The restaurant was nice and the food was good too, although the selection was a little limited. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the spread was fantastic compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at. The housekeeping staff were especially sweet, with Yasmin being particularly warm and helpful. The front desk staff were also professional and welcoming. We had prepaid for our rooms, so the checkout process was quick and hassle-free. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and we would happily stay here again!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. The breakfast offered a great variety of fresh options, and the facilities were excellent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. A very big Thank you to the amazing staff Fatou, Alice, May and Dimitrios for all your help, your all such wonderful people!
