Durga Mandir Rajadwar
Durga Mandir Rajadwar is a spacious community Hindu temple on Durgeshwari Road in the historic Rajadwar quarter of North Guwahati, Assam. Known locally as the Sarbojanin (public) Durga temple, it draws devotees for daily worship and is particularly lively during Durga Puja. The temple sits in one of Assam's most layered landscapes: Rajadwar literally means King's Gate, and the area was the capital of the ancient Kamarupa kingdom under the Pala dynasty. Within a short walk lie the Ahom-era temples of Manikarneswar and Doul Govinda, making this a natural stop for anyone exploring North Guwahati's temple heritage.
