Hora Kruhlyy Yavirnyk
Hora Kruhlyy Yavirnyk (Ukrainian: Гора Круглий Явірник, "Round Yavirnyk") is a 1,221-metre peak on the Yavirnyk ridge in the Eastern Gorgany, the forested mountain wall that crowds the resort town of Yaremche in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. It is listed as an observation point for a good reason: the open mountain meadow (polonyna) on its flanks — Polonyna Kruhlo-yavirnyk — is one of the best lookouts in the immediate Yaremche area, throwing wide views across the Chornohora range and the close, rounded shoulder of Khomyak. Locals treat it as the highest easily reached vantage above the town. The actual summit is wooded, so the reward of the climb is not a bare peak but the broad grassy pasture that opens just below it, where the forest gives way to sky. Routes start from Yaremche and from the nearby villages of Mykulychyn, Yamna and Tatariv, and a walk up to the polonyna and back is a classic one-day outing suitable for beginners and families with children. On clear days you can stand in soft mountain grass and read the whole Carpathian horizon from the Gorgany to Chornohora.
