We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn from check-in to check-out. When we arrived, our room wasn't quite ready, but that wasn't an issue. We were able to enjoy the rooftop pool and have lunch at the pool bar while we waited. The pool overlooks the courtyard and, although it's not very large, it was the perfect place to cool off in the nearly 40°C heat. There is limited outdoor seating, so keep that in mind during busy periods. I also appreciated the added security, as guest room floors can only be accessed with a key card. Before our stay, the hotel thoughtfully notified us that a local festival would be taking place and that music from the courtyard would continue until the early morning hours. They also offered discounted festival food and drinks at the hotel, which was convenient since we didn't have to go elsewhere for dinner. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy. Since we were only staying one night, it was perfect for our needs. My only minor complaint was that the toilet was quite low to the ground. The shower had excellent water pressure, but the bathroom could use a better shower door design, as water can easily escape onto the floor. As my young daughter said, "Mom, it's not my fault—it's a poor design!" The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a great variety. There was an omelette station, a waffle station, fresh fruit, croissants, prosciutto, cheese, juices, and an impressive coffee station where you could choose from espresso, cappuccino, Americano, and other specialty coffees. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone visiting the area.

Great hotel experience in a great location. Access was easy. The staff were extremely welcoming and professional. We arrived early and while our room was being made ready, we asked about a place to eat lunch. Fabio suggested we eat at a restaurant they have a relationship with just a mile or two away called Forno da Telha. We agreed and he called over to make a reservation for us. The food was outstanding! The lunch menu was €28/pp and worth every penny. We had snacks and drinks on the pool level that evening and were happy with those as well. The breakfast buffet had a great selection, and everything we tried was really good. I was also happy to see Fabio and the other front of house personnel training a new employee and obviously doing it well, because he was also extremely polite and warm towards us which can be hard to do when you're learning a new job. I can't think of a reason I would stay anywhere else when visiting Évora!

Three stars is a little mean. The hotel is modern and well appointed. Excellent staff and cycle storage in our room was not a problem. The breakfast was very good, especially the made to order omelette. It's was very busy with coach parties and families. The big disappointment was the evening meal (we had prepaid for half board), it was terrible. It was a buffet, poorly replenished and barely hot.

We had a great stay at the Hilton Inn Evora. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Hugo, who was really kind! Our rooms were clean and tidy and the upstairs pool and seating area were beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choice between hot food, cereals, and pastries. During our stay, my sister had an incident with her finger and Hugo & Isobel were incredible, offering advice and first aid equipment. We are extremely grateful and the customer service from the staff members was excellent. We would all definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Evora! You also may meet a furry friend, MiMi, which we were told is commonly known as Paris Hilton at the hotel! Thank you to all of the staff members for making our stay feel so welcoming.

Fantastic hotel, clean, quiet, spacious and safe. The best breakfast of our trip to Portugal. The room was much larger than most other rooms we have been in and they had more plugs in that room than anyone would ever have devices, at least 10! The beds were great and the linens all crisp and clean. The breakfast had 4 huge stations of different foods and the food was all tasty. Lots of space to sit with a large party or by yourself. Very close to the city center, free parking. Highly recommended.

Great overall experience, excellent staff. Really unfortunate that the rooftop bar was closed for maintenance and it was not informed when booking on Trip.com - it was an anniversary celebration, so we had planned on celebrating it there and couldn't, and since it was only informed when asking the reception, it was already too late to make new plans. The pool is also closed.

Hilton Garden Inn in Evora is a replica of the American chain hotel/inn duplicated here in Portugal. Void of any Portuguese personality including decor (tiles, what's that?), it is basic and functional depending on your wants and needs. Located just outside of old town (within walking distance), the location and room layout worked for us. However, if you are sharing a room with a friend, know that the bathroom layout is different. Namely, there is no bathroom. There is a separate sink, a stall for the toilet, and a stall for the shower. Coming out of the shower can be awkward. (Fellow tour mates complained about this.) Unlike the three previous Portuguese brand hotels where we stayed, this is the first hotel without robes and slippers for guests; the robes could have lessened the awkwardness. The room size is comfortable with enough space to spread out our luggage and bags. The overall rating would have been 3.5 stars. But I rounded up to 4 stars after visiting their 4th floor diner, pool area. The restaurant offered both Portuguese dishes (try the pork sandwich) and American dishes. We ordered the Club Sandwich; it must be Portuguese style cuz it's a grill cheese looking sandwich (not recommend). Prices are reasonable for hotel food. The pool is a modest infinity pool, not bad for a 'Garden Inn' level pool.

The hotel is a pleasant surprise in Portugal. Modern with all the familiar features of a Hilton Garden Inn with a Portuguese flair. It’s close to the center of the city. I would defiantly go back if traveling in the area. I’m a Hilton fan and this watch a pleasant stay in a lovely small city. The breakfast was also great with an awesome selection!
