We booked 2 rooms for one night. I got a room in a construction area with noise of hammering, construction materials on the porch. When me and my daughter asksed for changing the room, the recepcionist shouted at my daughter and called her noisy, made her cry, and didnt want to change the room. Although we got back our payment, that is a disgracefull and rude behavior, not to mention what hotel lets such room to his guests. Not recommended.

The hotel’s location was absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Hallstatt. We stayed in a mountain-view room, and the scenery from the balcony was truly breathtaking. Having free parking with plenty of available spaces was a huge advantage, especially in Hallstatt. We arrived with our own car, parked without any difficulty, and were able to fully enjoy the town on foot. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and also provided helpful information and recommendations about Hallstatt, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel is very good, very convenient location, right next to bus station. Romms are good, breakfast is awesome, I would definitely recommend to have breakfast at Hotel. Overall, very nice experience. Will recommend this hotel for your stay at Hallstatt.

Our stay here was very disappointing. To be honest, when traveling abroad, I don't demand luxury; as long as the place is clean and suitable for a busy day's rest, that’s enough for me. However, we were completely sleepless for two nights here. There are no mosquito nets on the windows. If you open them, the room fills with mosquitoes and bugs, not to mention the constant noise of crickets from outside. If you close the windows, it gets incredibly hot because there is no AC. It’s a two-story hotel and the upper floor is an attic. There was only a fan inside, which was incredibly loud even on its lowest setting. Long story short, it was highly uncomfortable. Installing an AC in the room shouldn't be this difficult

We stayed here in a superior room for two nights and believe me… the village gives such an eternal satisfaction to your soul that you wish to stay here forever. The location of the pension is also a USP as it is very near to the lake and 5 minutes walking from the ISLAND. A Great place to stay. I think I am going to remain in the hangover of Hallstatt for quite sometime. Thanks Pension Bergfried for everything. The tariffs are totally justified. Also, walking on the village streets in night takes you to another level of happiness.

The hotel offers a reasonable option for a one-night stay, and the location is conveniently close to the city center. Unfortunately, ongoing construction works on the neighboring funicular railway caused significant early morning noise, which made it difficult to have a calm and relaxing morning. The hotel itself feels a bit old-fashioned in terms of style and equipment, but it was clean and generally acceptable. My low rating is only due to the behavior of the staff, especially the lady who introduced herself as the hotel manager. Her communication was very rude and unprofessional in the situation we experienced. Her approach was far from the level of hospitality and friendliness we usually associate with Austrian service.

Excellent b&b, very clean and well organized, with an exceptional location. The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful, giving us lots of information about scenic viewpoints, the best times to go, and restaurant tips, especially since we were visiting in the low season (winter, lots of snow) and many places were closed. Highly recommended

A beautiful and cozy hotel with pleasant staff and excellent rooms. My wife and I had a great time. I recommend visiting this hotel. Free parking and location near the center of Hallstatt. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful vacation.
