A beautiful café and restaurant in a perfect location right next to the lake. The view is amazing, with the water in front of you and the Alps in the background, creating a really relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and fast. The coffee and cakes were both very good. The prices are reasonable considering the location and the view. The restroom was clean and well maintained. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.

I ate at their restaurant. Very nice water side sitting just on the lake. You definitely get to enjoy a very nice lunch as part of this small town. Coz there weren’t too many fancy places for this small town sitting just by the lake. Food was nice. Cheese Dumplings were nice. Fish was great and also the risotto it came with . There was also indian samosa which was a flavour bomb

Visited Hallstatt and wanted to have a beer somewhere. Found this beautiful place and we were blown away with the service. Our server was Matej and he was simply wonderful, all of his colleagues were so friendly. We also tried the cakes and they were incredible. We've never had ice cream cake before and it was such an experience. The view of the lake was perfect and we felt so welcomed. Best customer service we've had in a long time

The restaurant was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever encountered. It was my birthday and I ended up crying and not even eating the food I ordered. I was looking forward to coming here for months in advance. I had a comment to share with the manager and he ended up being very defensive instead of trying to make me feel better about the experience. Although, the other staff was very apologetic when they saw I was clearly upset and three people came to apologize to me, besides the male manager I initially spoke to, he did not even come to check up on me. I hope he fixes his attitude towards customers in the future. But I am very grateful for the other waitresses for trying to make me have a better experience. 0/10, would not recommend. I paid 52 euros for food I didn’t even eat. Very upsetting.

Arrived early on Thursday and Nickki kindly took our luggage before we coukd check in so we could leave our luggage and look around. At check in was greeted with care, attention, charm and a warmth that set expectations early. Shout out shoukd go to Abhi too who ensured we had a good table for dinner and who kept me in stock of teabags. Breakfast was great. The room was fantastic. Views are amazing. Staff are exceptional with special mention to Nicole and Abhi. Will 100% be back. Well.... would have been back. This highlights the dangers i guess of leaving a review whilst still at the hotel. Sadly the last night was ruined which left a nasty taste in the mouth due to a member who called herself Cristina. Sadly Cristina shoukd be nowhere front line customer given her attitude towards custoners which was rude and condescending. I asked for more tea bags as the hotel only gives you 1 English breakfast tea bag. I was told she has none speak to the restaurant. The restaurant didn't have a clue and then between them I was insulted with a phrase. Probably won't be back after tonight's episode. Abhi and the woman who checked us in are sadly not enough to save this review which is a real shame and shows how one apple can spoil the batch.

Came here for dinner as a non-guest, a friend was staying at the hotel and we decided to give it a try. Really glad we did. Started with the Hallstätter fish soup, which was hearty and delicious. My main was the grilled whole rainbow trout (€29.90) with parsley potatoes, fresh, well-prepared, and great value for the quality. The atmosphere was lovely, especially sitting by the window with the lake view. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a meal even if you’re not staying here.

The location could hardly be better: literally on the town square, with a stunning view over the lake. We stayed for 2 nights in a 3rd floor junior suite #301 with a very large terrace, which was furnished with a dining set, umbrella and two padded loungers. It was a wonderful place to unwind and take in the view. The spacious, classically-furnished suite was comfortable, with 2 comfy armchairs, a desk and a particularly useful hall table — perfect for keeping sunglasses, keys and phones. The bathroom had large windows bringing in natural light, as well as a bidet, and a shower/tub combination that had an awkwardly placed shower-head in the middle of the wall rather than at the end, making it difficult to shower without splashing the floor. One small omission: there were no washcloths. The king bed was exceedingly comfortable, and I believe the staff had kindly added a plush mattress topper at my request. The pillows were also good. Unfortunately, the bedding was much too heavy for the weather. The sheets were flannel-like and the duvet and its cover were very thick. Hallstatt was extremely hot during our stay and, as there is no air-conditioning in the hotels, we sweltered at night — particularly on the 3rd floor. The hotel provided a small Dyson fan, but it simply wasn’t powerful enough to make much difference. We understand the restrictions on air-conditioning, but the hotel could easily improve the situation by providing substantially larger, stronger fans and lighter summer bedding. One person deserves special mention: Claudia, the housekeeper, was exceptional — hands down the best we have encountered in our travels. She had a wonderfully positive, “fix any problem” and “provide any service” attitude, and went well beyond expectations, even looking after us after her working hours. Claudia is an immense credit to the hotel and made our 2-night stay particularly enjoyable. Breakfast offered a good selection of both savoury and sweet options, although everything was buffet-style and nothing was made to order. Dinner was tasty. And if you’re inclined, you can simply slip into the lake from the ladder on the dock directly in front of the hotel. I did — and it was heavenly. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its charming furnishings, spectacular lakefront setting and unbeatable location. With a few very inexpensive improvements — namely stronger fans and lighter bedding in hot weather — management could make an appealing hotel considerably more comfortable.

Amazing hotel with the most gorgeous views. The restaurant/patio is breath taking. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Hallstatt. The location is great and the service is very good for European standards.
