I stayed at this unassuming hotel while attending the Innsbruck Music Festival, and it proved to be a delightful retreat. Its location is almost ideal: just a 10-minute walk from the railway station, yet only about five minutes from Innsbruck's historic center. Close enough to enjoy the city's vibrant atmosphere, but far enough away to escape the late-night noise of the busiest tourist streets. The guest room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the well-designed shower, which kept the bathroom perfectly dry without water spilling everywhere. Breakfast was another highlight—a generous selection of fresh, thoughtfully prepared food that made each morning a pleasure. There is another hotel of a similar category on the same street, but it is often filled with large tour groups. I was glad to have chosen this quieter hotel, where the atmosphere felt much more relaxed. With plenty of excellent restaurants and bars just around the corner, this hotel offers both convenience and tranquility. A wonderful place to stay in Innsbruck, and one I would happily recommend.

This was a great stay. Second time to Innsbruck and very glad we stayed here. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are very clean and the laundry onsite is great. Great selection of breads and fresh produce at breakfast. The cleaning staff did a good job tidying up daily and were very friendly. The bar is really nice and Andrea makes the best mixed drinks. We had massages and the masseuse, Rudolf, was fantastic! Wonderful stay and would be happy to stay here again.

This was our first tine visiting Innsbruck (and Austria), and the Hotel Schwarzer Adler was an ideal base for our stay. We had two rooms, along with our two teenage sons, and both were immaculate and well-cleaned every day. We had the breakfasts, which were very good with an excellent selection of continental offers. The location was perfect, with a small shop and bakery across the street, many different restaurants to choose from for dinner, and the main station a 5 minute walk away, with old town even closer. The staff were incredibly helpful, in particular with public transport questions. Our boys loved the sauna and steam room (and very cold shower) too. Only slight negative was that the hotel bar was closed, although this may be a temporary thing. Not a big issue as there are plenty of other bars nearby. Big recommendation from us and a huge thank you to the team for looking after us so well.

Fantastic place! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The sauna was pristine and a great way to relax. Breakfast was also outstanding! Would happily stay here again. Amazing view of the Alps from our balcony.

This hotel was excellent, especially for the price. The location was perfect and the view of the mountains from the balcony was incredible. The front desk was extremely helpful and kind. The pillows were slightly flat and I wish I would've had more than one, but that is my only complaint. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel 16-19th April. Hotel was very clean, all staff members extremely helpful and friendly. I paid extra for a room with a balcony and mountain views and definitely worth the extra cost. |All amenities are within walking distance with a great pub next door.|I never tried the food so cannot comment on that but overall the Hotel offered a great experience and look forward to rebooking next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Schwarzer Adler! The customer service was exceptional, and the front desk staff provided wonderful recommendations that made exploring Innsbruck even more enjoyable. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to relax with stunning mountain views, and the location is perfect—just steps from Old Town, great shopping, restaurants, and many of Innsbruck's top attractions. The breakfast was outstanding with an incredible variety of fresh, delicious options to start each day. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Innsbruck!
