This was the most pleasant stay we’ve had so far. We truly appreciated that they offered to look after our luggage, as we arrived early before check-in time. Although the check-in process was done through a self-service machine, the staff were willing to assist us. They also had a voice translator, which made the check-in process much easier for foreign guests. The room is super clean , bigger than my previous stay, even TV do show the status of the laundry which to avoid the hassle to check up. Since the room window faces the railway line, we were initially concerned about noise, but it turned out not to be an issue at all. I would also like to give a credit to the hotel restaurant Grandura (Japanized Italian cuisine) . We had a slow yet delicious buffet style breakfast,even though the selection was limited but overall it's very worth it and delicious. Thank you very much for hospitality and I would definitely choose this hotel again if ever wanted to visit Enoshima /Kamakura. Till next time

This place is within walking distance from Ofuna train station. There is a direct train from Narita Airport to Ofuna train station, making it very convenient if you fly into Narita Airport. It’s also a convenient location with plenty of choices for food and shopping. The room is spacious and clean as compared to other hotel that is near to train station. You can leave your bags for storage with them while you go sightseeing after check out. Do note that they do not have storage room as the bags are placed in front of the reception but cover with a net and lock with a chain. The room is pretty quiet even though it is near the train track. We will stay again at this hotel if we return to Kamakura area for another visit.

Very close to the station and downtown area of Ofuna. Clean well cared for hotel. Has a nice smell to it from the lobby to the hallways even in the room! Amenities galore upon your arrival. Restaurant next to the lobby. Washing facilities, ice maker, coffee, vending machine and all the hygiene goods you need incase you didn't come with any. Very secure feeling during your stay. Key card required for elevator, security cameras all over. Highly recommend for any kind of traveler for any length of stay.

JR-East Hotel Mets Kamakura Ofuna was easily the best hotel we stayed at during our Japan trip. The location was outstanding, situated right in front of both the train and monorail stations, making it extremely convenient for getting around Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo. The area around the hotel was lively, with plenty of restaurants, local eateries, and street food options just outside the property. Despite the excellent location near the station, the rooms were impressively quiet with no noticeable noise at all, allowing for a very comfortable rest each night. The rooms themselves were also noticeably more spacious compared to many hotels within a similar price range in Japan, which made a huge difference during our stay. The reception team was friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the well-organised centralised amenities and facilities located in the lobby area. A small detail that truly stood out was the coffee machine in the lobby — and the reviews were absolutely right, the coffee was excellent. Everything about the stay felt efficient, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Between the location, room quality, facilities, and overall experience, this was by far our favourite hotel during the trip. Highly recommended.

JR-East Hotel Mets Kamakura Ofuna is conveniently located within walking distance of Ofuna Station. It is also close to the Ofuna town centre, where you will find a good concentration of restaurants, cafes, kombinis, and shops. The hotel lobby is modest but functional, and the laundry facilities are a great addition for guests. A particularly useful feature is the system that allows guests to check the availability of the washing machines directly from the TV in the room, so you know when a machine is free before heading down. The room itself is quite small, with limited space to move around. It is a practical and well-located option for a comfortable stay in Ofuna.

Excellent location near the train station. Room sizes are slightly larger than the average. Hotel is very well maintained and has all the usual amenities for this class including free coffee. Service staff were super helpful and friendly. Will easily stay again!

I didn’t love this hotel at all. The room was tiny and we could barely open our suitcases anywhere. The mattress was like sleeping on an ironing board and the pillows like cement bags. There is a coin washer downstairs which is handy.

Spacious room, location is good with train station at the door steps. Many good restaurants around the area. But next to train rails so the rooms are not quiet during the trains operating hours.
