(Translated by Google) This is KAMAKURA HOTEL. Thank you very much for choosing KAMAKURA HOTEL from among the many hotels available. We also appreciate you taking the time to post your review. Our complimentary drinks from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM include both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, and we are pleased that our guests enjoyed their relaxing time. We are delighted that you enjoyed it. The flowers in the sauna's cold plunge pool are arranged by a nearby florist to complement the Japanese modern space. We hope the flowers enhanced your relaxation time. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of a partner parking lot. When you visit Kamakura again, please be sure to stay at KAMAKURA HOTEL. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you back. The hotel's first-floor Washu BAR serves domestic alcohol with Kanagawa-focused snacks, a good spot for a drink and a bite before bed. For a fuller meal, a restaurant serving Kaiseki food is about a 5-minute walk away. The area around Kamakura Station, including Komachi Dori, is close by and lined with shops and eateries. You can also walk to the central sightseeing streets near Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu, about 12 minutes away, where more dining options await. For a wider choice, the station area itself has many restaurants and cafes within a few minutes' walk.
The hotel sits right by Kamakura Station, so the area is the heart of the old capital, with Komachi Dori shopping street just a short walk away. You can easily walk to Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu in 12 minutes and Genjiyama Park in 10 minutes, both giving a feel for the city's history and nature. The nearby streets are lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants, making it a lively spot to explore on foot. For a quieter, more local vibe, the Zeniarai Benten Shrine and Sasuke Inari Shrine are each about a 12 to 14 minute walk. The area is well connected by trains and buses, so you can also head further out to the coast or other temples without hassle.
From Kamakura Station, the hotel is a 1 to 2 minute walk from the west exit, so you can simply walk there. From Haneda Airport, take the Keikyu Line to Yokohama Station, then the JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station, about 55 minutes total. From Narita Airport, take the JR Narita Express to Ofuna Station, then the JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station, roughly 2 hours 30 minutes. From Tokyo Station, the JR Yokosuka Line takes about 1 hour directly to Kamakura. From Shin-Yokohama Station, take the JR Yokohama Line to Yokohama, then the JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura, about 40 minutes. Once you exit the west gate, the hotel is right there.
In the evening, the hotel's own Washu BAR is a great spot, specializing in domestic alcohol with seasonal sake and Kanagawa snacks. For a stroll, Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu is a 12-minute walk away, and the atmospheric Zeniarai Benten Shrine is also 12 minutes on foot. Komachi Dori, the lively shopping street, is within easy walking distance for a wander. You can also take a short walk to Kamakura Seaside Park, 15 minutes away, for a peaceful evening by the water. The area around Kamakura Station, just a minute's walk, has plenty of options for a relaxed evening out.
Kamakura Hotel is a great base for exploring Kamakura on foot. Many key sights are within a short walk: Genjiyama Park is 10 minutes away, Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu and Zeniarai Benten Shrine are 12 minutes, and Sasuke Inari Shrine is 14 minutes. Kamakura Seaside Park and Kotoku-in are also walkable at 15 and 16 minutes, while Hase-dera and Meigetsu-in take about 21 minutes. For farther spots, the hotel is just a 1-minute walk from Kamakura Station, where you can catch trains or buses to reach other areas easily. This central location makes it simple to start your sightseeing right from the doorstep.
