Response from the property
Thank you very much for choosing ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kanazawa. We also appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable feedback following your stay. First and foremost, we would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by our insufficient explanation regarding your child’s stay, particularly the additional charges for an extra bed and breakfast. We regret that this information was not communicated clearly in advance. At our hotel, children aged 11 and under are subject to specific accommodation policies depending on the room type and reservation conditions. As a result, additional charges may apply for extra beds and breakfast. However, we recognize that the information and presentation on the booking website may not have been sufficiently clear, and that the explanation provided during the reservation process was inadequate for helping guests fully understand these conditions. We take your comments very seriously. We will carefully review the information displayed during the booking process and improve the way we communicate these details so that guests can more easily understand the applicable conditions before making a reservation. Once again, we sincerely apologize for not providing the experience you expected. Should you have another opportunity to visit Kanazawa, our team will do our utmost to deliver a more satisfying stay. Sincerely, ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kanazawa

Response from the property
Dear Mr.Craig Mooney Thank you for taking time to share your valuable feedback following your recent stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kanazawa. While we are pleased to know you appreciated our location and the comfort of the bed, we are deeply sorry to learn that the overall condition and size of the room fell far below your expectations. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced. We fully understand how uncomfortable it must have been to have such limited space for movement, luggage, and personal belongings, particularly when staying at a hotel expected to provide a four-star standard of comfort. We are also very concerned to hear your comments regarding the condition of the walls and the lack of space in the bathroom, as this is certainly not the impression we wish to leave with our guests. Your feedback has been taken extremely seriously and has been shared directly with our management, housekeeping, and maintenance teams for immediate review and improvement. We truly regret that we did not provide the level of experience you rightfully expected, and we sincerely apologize once again for the disappointment caused. We would be grateful for the opportunity to restore your confidence in us should you consider staying with us again in the future.
The hotel itself has several dining options: Cascade Dining, Chinese restaurant Karin, Japanese restaurant Unkai, teppanyaki at Kaga, Sky Bar La Briller, and Cascade Lounge. For a quick bite, Kanazawahyakubangai Gift Shop is right by the station, and Omicho Market is about a 15 to 20 minute walk away, where you can find fresh seafood and local snacks. You are right at Kanazawa Station, with the Tsuzumi-mon Gate just a 1-minute walk away, so the area feels like the city's front door. The station itself has the Kanazawahyakubangai Gift Shop and plenty of shops and eateries nearby. A short stroll takes you to the Kazuemachi Chaya District in 18 minutes, and the Nagamachi Samurai District in 18 minutes as well. If arriving at Komatsu Airport, take the limousine bus to Kanazawa Station's West Exit bus terminal, then walk about 5 minutes to the hotel. The bus ride takes roughly 40 minutes on the super-express service. The covered walkway from the station keeps you dry in rain or snow, and the hotel is directly adjacent to the station's east side.
In the evening, you can enjoy the hotel's own Sky Bar La Briller on the 19th floor, which offers views over the city, or the Cascade Lounge for a relaxed drink. For a short stroll, the Tsuzumi-mon Gate is just a 1-minute walk away, and the Kazuemachi Chaya District is an 18-minute walk, where the historic streets are atmospheric after dark. The Higashi Chaya District, a 21-minute walk, is another option for an evening wander. If you prefer to stay close, the hotel's restaurant and bar options are right there, and the station area nearby has shops and dining. For a guided evening experience, the Kanazawa Night Tour with Local Meal and Drinks is a popular city tour you could join.
