We started our trip in Japan by staying at this hotel back in July. The room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, there was an area in the lobby with free bathroom amenities. They always greeted us everytime they saw us. On our day of check out, they stored our carry ons for us to continue exploring Kanazawa until our bus departure time and we were ready to come pick them up. The location was very convenient as it was located right by the main station and directly across the AEON mall making it very convenient to catch the bus or train or browse shops. It was a great start to our trip in Japan. We would love to come back and stay at Smile Premium someday!

This is an excellent hotel. It is very close to the station, which is a huge advantage. Check-in was lightning fast, and the staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The atmosphere of the hotel is very pleasant. The interior designer used bright, light colors, which makes the hotel feel comfortable, warm, and almost like home. The room size was completely suitable for two people with luggage, and the layout was both beautiful and practical. The bathroom was very good, and the toiletries were of high quality. The television also had access to several streaming channels, which was a great feature. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and the service. We would gladly stay here again.

Stayed at Smile Hotel Premium Kanazawa and had a great experience overall. The hotel offers excellent value for money, especially considering its convenient location—close to the train station and easy to get around the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more pleasant. Check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free, which is always appreciated when traveling. A solid choice if you're visiting Kanazawa and looking for comfort, convenience, and good value.

We would like to enthusiastically commend the Smile Hotel Premium Kanazawa's front desk team for truly outstanding service even before we arrived! We ran into a flight cancellation by ANA, and were delayed one day in arriving. I called the hotel a few times to update the travel plan, and each time spoke with a manager with excellent English and cordial and supportive manners. Ms Fujita-san very capably and generously coordinated with us and the third-party booking agent (Agoda) to ensure that our reservation was amended accordingly, and Mr Inomata-san graciously registered our very late arrival on the day. The front desk greeted us, tired travellers, with utmost helpfulness and assigned us a spacious room! What a wonderful way to start our visit of Japan!

We stayed for 3 nights in a 20m² room. The room size was good for us. Check-in was fast and the hotel was quite new. There is a hot/cold water and coffee dispenser in the hotel lobby. The hotel is only a 3-to-5-minute walk from the train station. We always used the Forus Mall side door as a shortcut to the train station. The hotel is also close to a bus station with routes to the city centre. During our stay, we went to the Pokémon Center everyday to buy cards, as it’s just opposite the hotel.The price we paid for our room was very good. We were very happy with the stay and we will definitely come back to Kanazawa and stay here again for sure.

We like the location of this hotel next to Kanazawa station. There was an initial mix up when we arrived and we were given the wrong room. Management were quick to rectify it and apologetic. The decor in our Hollywood Twin room was great and the room was clean and spacious. We were a little surprised that room cleaning is only offered every 4th night. It wasn't an issue for us as you can leave your used towels and trash outside the room for replacement. Staff were helpful and polite.

There are 2 Smile Hotels in Kanazawa. One is very close to the train station and a rocks throw from the mall. Ours was the other, which is about 1/4 mile away. Once we found it, it was easy to get to and from the train station. As for the hotel, well we have stayed in better accommodations for the same price. At check in we were given only 2 room keys regardless of how many guest were in the room. One was for the room to keep the lights and AC going. That left us with one key between 3 people. Might be petty, but it was a pain in the butt cooling down the room all the time. The room was lacking and not very spacious. This was our 5th hotel. There was a refrigerator and hot water kettle, but beware NO COFFEE. Thankfully I had several instant coffee packs saved from other hotels and was able to get my caffeine fix. Bathroom was tiny and if you were not careful you could trip over the entrance. It did serve breakfast which was okay for what was served. End of the day if all you want is a room to sleep, it's okay, but we would have been willing to spend $75 + extra for better accommodations.

Great value for money! Perfect location 2mins away from the JR station which is connected to a mall. Rooms are spacious and smell nice, front desk provides alot of the basic amenities so dont need to bring them with you. Staff are friendly and helpful. They dont clean everyday though, we stayed for 4 nights and had to choose a cleaning day but towels can be changed daily.
