AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Perched on a protruding rock ledge on the Plecháč plateau, Všetečkova vyhlídka (Všetečka Viewpoint) offers one of the most dramatic outlooks into the heart of Prachov Rocks—the legendary sandstone labyrinth just north of Jičín in the Czech Republic. From its iron-railed perch at 437 metres, visitors look across a natural amphitheatre of towering pinnacles to the forested ridge on the other side of the main rock valley, where the neighbouring Vyhlídka Českého ráje peers back.↗↗
The viewpoint was opened to the public on 28 May 1922 and bears the name of PhDr. Jakub Všetečka, a Jičín schoolteacher and passionate tourist who championed the development of trails and stairways through these rocks. Today it remains a free, always-accessible stop on the green-marked grand circuit of the Prachov Rocks.↗↗
