Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Tucked in the forested cliffs just beyond Black Spire Outpost, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the headline attraction inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and one of the most ambitious rides ever built at Walt Disney World. Rather than a single vehicle loop, it stitches together several ride systems, walk-through sets and lifelike animatronics into one continuous, roughly 15-minute story that makes you feel less like a spectator and more like a recruit living inside a Star Wars film. The plot picks up after the Battle of Crait, between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. You answer the Resistance's call on the remote planet Batuu, board a transport to flee a compromised base, and are seized by a First Order Star Destroyer. From there it is a breakneck escape past stormtroopers, AT-AT walkers and a menacing Kylo Ren, piloted partly by a scrappy little astromech droid. The spectacle is genuinely cinematic in scale, which is exactly why the wait is usually long and advance planning is worth the effort.
