Freddie Mercury wall painting
On a corner building in Dunedin North, where Queen Street meets Park Street, a towering Freddie Mercury reigns in full royal regalia. The seven-metre mural, painted by local artist Bruce Mahalski, turns the city's most literal pun—rock royalty on Queen Street—into a vivid, larger-than-life tribute to the legendary frontman. It has become one of Dunedin's favourite photo stops and a small symbol of the city's affection for music and street art.
