Vegeåleden
Vegeåleden is a scenic 8.5-kilometre hiking trail that traces the meandering River Vegeå through the open Skåne countryside between Strövelstorp and the coastal village of Utvälinge. The route passes a centuries-old castle, winds through mixed forest and farmland, and ends where the river meets the sea in a bird-rich nature reserve. Named after the river it follows, the trail offers a compact half-day walk rated at medium difficulty, suitable for most fitness levels. Hikers can expect a satisfying variety of landscapes — from village outskirts and open fields to deep-forested riverbanks and coastal meadows — all within a single route that takes roughly two to two-and-a-half hours on foot.
