Jardin botanique de la Font de Bézombes
Hidden in a small valley near the Hérault river, the Font de Bézombes Botanical Garden is a two-hectare private paradise where a retired nurseryman turned his lifelong passion for plants into seven distinct garden styles — from tropical and Chinese to desert and marsh — all fed by an abundant natural spring. Created in the 1990s by Gérard Simon on a site he had cultivated since 1972, the garden offers an intimate, guided experience with resident peacocks, swans, and ducks wandering among the pathways. Visitors consistently praise the warmth of the hosts and the astonishing variety of planting, making this one of the Languedoc's most rewarding off-the-beaten-track discoveries.
