Peer in
Peer in (styled Peer In Gallery) is a small, photography-focused art space tucked away on the Elandstraat in The Hague's Zeeheldenkwartier. Rather than a white-cube museum, it occupies the former concierge's house of the Grote Pyr—a monumental old school building—and turns its windows and display cases into an ever-changing stage for contemporary photographers. The whole idea is deliberately low-threshold: you don't need a ticket or an appointment to meet the work. A casual passer-by can stop on the pavement, press close to the glass and let the images wash over them, while the gallery's interior rooms open up for special programme items such as exhibition launches and talks.
