AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Betuyab Taşlıburun Mevki marks a stretch of coastline in Kadriye, part of the Belek resort zone on Turkey's Mediterranean Riviera in Serik, Antalya. 'Mevki' simply means a named locality, and this one sits in the green belt of luxury golf hotels and sandy public beaches that makes Belek one of Turkey's best-known beach destinations. It is not a single ticketed attraction so much as a pocket of the resort coast where a calm public beach meets five-star resorts and the offices of the area's tourism body.↗
The appeal here is the easy, unhurried seaside day that Belek is famous for: soft sand and shallow, clear water close to a strip of boutique shops and cafés, with a choice of either a free public beach or the serviced private beaches of the surrounding resorts. For travellers staying in Kadriye or Belek, Taşlıburun is one of the quieter places to swim without leaving the area's core.
A spot on Belek's resort coast
The name carries two threads. BETUYAB is the Belek Turizm Yatırımcıları Birliği, the association that represents the Belek resort area's hotels and investors and helps steward the destination; its base is in Kadriye, on Alan Caddesi in the Belek Tourism Center. Taşlıburun is the local 'mevki'—the named seaside neighbourhood in which the marker sits. Together they point to a stretch of Kadriye coastline framed by the upscale resorts that put Belek on the map.
