AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Mount Dumanlı (Dumanlı Dağ) is a 1,955-metre peak rising above the mountain village of İslamlar in Kaş district, Antalya. Its name — "Dumanlı" means "misty" — hints at the clouds that cling to its slopes, but on clear days the summit rewards hikers with sweeping panoramas of the Mediterranean and the dramatic Lycian coastline. The most topographically prominent mountain in Kaş, it falls within the Saklıkent National Park area and is celebrated for its cedar forests and wild hillside scenery.↗↗↗↗↗
Whether you are an experienced trekker seeking a day on the ridgeline or a coastal visitor craving a cool mountain escape just thirty minutes from the beach, Dumanlı offers a rich mix of panoramic views, ancient forest, and quiet village life at its feet.↗↗
The Mountain at a Glance
Dumanlı Dağ stands at 1,955 metres (6,414 ft) with a prominence of 771 metres, making it the most topographically significant peak among the seventeen named mountains in the Kaş district. Despite being the fourth-highest by altitude, its prominence ranks first, meaning it rises dramatically from the surrounding terrain rather than hiding among taller neighbours. The peak falls within the boundaries of Saklıkent National Park, which straddles the Antalya–Muğla provincial border, and is officially ranked number one by prominence within that park.
