What Makes This Trail Special
One of the signature trail improvement projects by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Battery East Trail was designed to give visitors a front-row seat to the soaring towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. The overlook and seating area at the trail end frame the bridge, the San Francisco Bay, and the Marin Headlands in a single sweeping panorama. Sailboats and surfers drift beneath the span, and on clear days the city skyline glitters to the south.↗↗
