Awesome Stay! The team here are incredibly helpful, friendly, and well organised. A special mention to Leigh, Sophie, and Amelie (I hope I’ve spelt their names correctly!) for their outstanding hospitality and guidance throughout my stay. The location is fantastic — just a one-minute walk to all the buses heading up to the mountains, while also being incredibly convenient for enjoying Queenstown’s amazing nightlife. The rooms are cosy, spacious, and comfortable, and the ensuite was fantastic. Staying here genuinely made my trip so much better, and I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. I’d definitely stay here again!

We’re a group of four who booked into a six bedroom hostel. The hostel itself was great in terms of location, amenities, and cleanliness. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because staff aren’t the friendliest. Also, they kept coming into our room without knocking. Multiple times over our four nights there. One time one of my friend’s was in there changing and one of the receptionists walked in on him. Please knock and say reception, give it 20 seconds, and then enter. We also did our laundry and received items back that were not fully dry. We ended up staying four nights here and were happy with our room. Abundant storage and hooks - this always makes or breaks a hostel. Even enough hooks and shelves in the showers. Light in the bed. AC in the room but also the balcony right from the room was awesome. Super comfy bed! Also a full body mirror in the room which is so helpful.

Just spent seven greats nights at Adventure Queenstown Hostel and can't think of a single fault. Central location, friendly staff, comfortable bunks, plenty of amenities, fun events each night and a present spirit of adventure. Would recommend this to anyone, especially those thinking about trying solo travel or hostels in general for the first time. I'd shout out a specific staff member, but as someone who works in a customer facing role, I was thoroughly impressed by all of them. Thank you!!

After 3 weeks in a campervan, AQ was the perfect place to end our trip in New Zealand. The beds were so comfy and cozy, and I really valued they privacy curtain, individual reading lamp and charging point. All the staff we encounted were so friendly and helpful. It's a small hostel and the staff work hard to clean the bathrooms and communal spaces daily, so everything always feels fresh. We loved the scavenger hunt one night too.

Fantastic stay ! I chose the private double room with ensuite. Perfect for price as queenstown is very expensive. Clean room with comfortable bed and nice warm bedding . Awesome big private balcony with views of mountains. Right in heart of town with everything so close by . Would definitely stay again

Amazing experience!! It’s all about the little details that the backpackers really appreciate, everything is thought through: double pillows, double outlets, free towel, well organized kitchen, amazing lounge area… Would recommend very much !

Rooms - I stayed in a 4 bed room. The beds are comfortable and cozy. Fresh clean towels are available daily. Kitchen - huge kitchen area overlooking the central surroundings outside. Lots of seating. Location - Queenstown central, everything is easily accessible. NOTE: no elevators. You’d need to take stairs with all your luggage.

We stayed at this hostel in a private double room, and it was fantastic. The room was super cute and even had its own terrace, which we really loved. The overall atmosphere is great, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hostel offers tons of useful extras: you can borrow everyday items like irons and hairdryers, and even rent sports equipment such as snowboards at very affordable prices. There’s also a great and inexpensive laundry service (NZD 12 per wash, about €6), and it was quick and efficient. The only downside is that it can get quite loud at night due to nearby clubs, with music and bass going until around 4 a.m. If you’re sensitive to noise, earplugs are a must. Aside from that, it’s a really cool hostel and highly recommended!
