Response from the property
Dear Jim we’re sorry to hear about your disappointment and regret that the situation surrounding your booking led to such frustration. As explained, our booking system is fully automated and confirms the details selected by the user — including the date. In this case, the reservation was made for the wrong month, which was clearly confirmed in the email you received. We understand that booking mistakes can happen — they are not uncommon, even on major platforms such as Expedia or Booking. As a small, family-run hotel, we do our best to balance flexibility with fairness. Your reservation fell on a high-season Saturday, and we held the room in good faith, turning away other requests. Unfortunately, your message arrived after the date had passed, when we could no longer offer the room to other guests. That said, we never intended for you to feel unfairly treated. Although our policy typically doesn’t allow changes in such cases, we’ve made an exception and, as agreed, we’ll be happy to welcome you on next november , using the amount already paid, with no additional charges. We must also express that it was disappointing to receive a public negative review while we were still in correspondence and before an agreement had been reached. We always strive to resolve issues with care and fairness, and we believe this review does not reflect the goodwill and and flexibility we offered We genuinely look forward to welcoming you next month and hope your upcoming stay will reflect the warmth, care, and hospitality we are known for. Should you need any assistance in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Emanuele

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We would like to offer a clear and accurate clarification for future guests. Each room is equipped with instant coffee sachets and a kettle, and the minibar includes a sealed complimentary glass bottle of water. Guests who prefer freshly prepared coffee may request espresso or Americano from room service at any time. Regarding the electricity: as our historic building does not use electronic key-card systems, our staff turns off the room’s main power when guests leave exclusively for safety reasons. In the past, devices left plugged in—such as converters or other appliances—have caused short circuits and posed a genuine fire risk. Please note that the air conditioning and minibar remain powered continuously. We appreciate your feedback, yet it is important to underline that these procedures are in place to ensure the safety and well‑being of all our guests, which remains our highest priority. Thank you for being our guest Best regards Emanuele

Hello Clinton, thank you for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our beautifully presented breakfast—it’s a labor of love! We take pride in offering a wide variety to start your day right. It’s fantastic to know you found our room clean and the mattress super comfortable—sleep is essential! Being a listed medieval building we are proud to maintain the original charm with frescoes and terracotta floors, however, it is also a bit complicated to intervene by using the standard soundproofing solutions as for modern buildings. We regret for any discomfort during your stay, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience and comfort of our guests and we thank them for their understanding for the things we can still improve. It’s great to hear that our location made your exploration even more enjoyable, we thank you again for your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay! Emanuele
