Local MCP

Local MCP server

Run an MCP server over stdio for local clients, bridged to Fortrip's hosted server.

Usage

fortrip mcp

How it works

For MCP clients that launch local commands: the client starts npx -y fortrip mcp, and the CLI forwards every request to Fortrip's hosted MCP server (https://fortrip.ai/api/mcp, or FORTRIP_API_URL followed by /api/mcp). The tools and their rules are the hosted server's.

It signs in with the CLI's saved sign-in or FORTRIP_TOKEN, so run npx -y fortrip login first. Until you do, tool calls fail with a message that says so.

Output

Speaks MCP over stdin and stdout until the client closes it.
