Quickstart

From install to a payment link in a few minutes. You need Node.js 22 or newer and a Fortrip account.

1. Install the skill

Run this once. It adds Fortrip to the agents on your machine that use skills.

npx skills add FortripEngineering/fortrip-plugins --skill fortrip-cli

Using a client without skills, such as Cursor? Connect over remote MCP instead.

2. Sign in

npx fortrip login

Your browser opens Fortrip. Check that the code matches the one in your terminal and approve. You can skip this step: the first time your agent needs access, it gives you a sign-in link instead.

3. Ask your agent

Find a quiet hotel in Kyoto for two adults, two nights next month, with free cancellation.

The agent searches, compares live rates and creates a booking. Before it gives you the payment link, it shows the amount, currency, meal plan, cancellation rules and any fees paid at the hotel. Pay on the Fortrip page it links to.

Try it by hand

The same flow with the CLI. Replace each <…> with your dates and the ids from the previous step:
