We stayed in one of the price ensuite cabins and it was fantastic. The room was surprisingly nice and quiet, despite there being a loud bar with live music out the front, we didn’t hear a peep. The rainforest vibe setup of the whole place is absolutely fantastic, you feel like you’re in a cabin in the forest, despite being a very short distance from a busy Woolworths and the Main Street, and you don’t hear either of them. The cabin itself was tidy and well prepared with what you’d expect. It’s very spacious inside, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable too. The only flaw really is the shower. Being a bigger fella, just about 6ft tall, the shower head is about my chin level, the shower itself is tiny so the shower curtain clings to you. But for its price point, it’s a very minor issue. The biggest plus is location. You have free parking down the back, and you are smack bang in the middle of Main Street and everything is walkable from the front door. We’ve already decided that alone would have us coming back again.

I had an amazing experience with the staff at Magnums Hostel. I called because I had lost my ring and was really worried, and they were incredibly kind and helpful on the phone, telling me they would look for it straight away. When I arrived at the hostel, I saw the manager personally searching for it, and she actually found it! She was so happy to give it back to me, and I was extremely grateful. Thank you so much to the team at Magnums for your kindness, honesty, and great service. I really appreciate it and highly recommend this hostel!

Good experience overall. We had some ants in our room, but staff removed them. The rooms are quite small and old - I’m over 2 meters tall and my girlfriend is over 1.70m, and we both reached the end of the bed. I had to sleep with my feet hanging over the bed frame, which cut off circulation and woke me up nearly every hour, so I didn’t get much sleep. That’s mostly due to my height, though my girlfriend also reached the end of the bed despite being shorter. Kitchen was clean. The room smelled bad from the moment we first walked in. The next day, we were out for a few hours, and when we came back, the smell was there again. Airing out the room, including overnight, got rid of it each time, but as soon as we were away for a few hours again, the smell would come back. Location is amazing. In the middle of everything and still a lot of greenery. Felt a Little Bit Like Jungle. We loved it. For a two star accommodation, pretty solid.

Nature in city center ! Perfectly located in the center of Airlie beach. The cabine is really good with private bathroom and toilet along with a lovely terrace in front of the cabane. This is quiet after 10 pm even though there is a bar not far from the cabane. The room is wide with double and single beds. And the room was clean. We booked our day trips with Magnums too who can handle the booking for us (Kangooroo at sunrise, scenic flight over whitsundays and heart island, wild Playtipus encounter) and all the 3 day trips went well. The only thing that could be improved is the knowledge of the pick up point (it was actually at Nomads at the level of the roundabout and not the Nomads shop next to the hotel). Also to go the airport of Proserpine there is a shuttle linked to your plane number and the pick up point is also 5 min from Magnums which is very convenient (Magnums can book it for you)

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend, halfway through our trip while our other accomodation was booked out. We were pleasantly surprised by the room itself. Was very spacious and didn't hear a peep of noise coming from the bar. Lots of greenery around which probably helped with the noise but also created a gorgeous sanctuary so each of the cabins felt quite private. Jules at the front desk was SUPER sweet and really sorted us out with a lot of the activities on our trip, even before we had checked in yet.

Didn’t enjoy the stay there. When there is a bar with inside and outside around the check in is half outside and a tour desk, then, after almost 60 countries, you know what the vibe is like! We had a shared bathroom room but the room was so tiny that for two people with regular luggage, there is not much space left! The bathrooms were gross every time we came, from water to empty food bowls and blood, we got it all! And if there was nothing, the birds would bring some dead leftovers. The wall of the rooms is what seems to be a piece of wood so you don’t have any isolation and the noise from the bar doesn’t stop and is super loud you you can clearly hear it. If you come to party or be out all the time, maybe ok, but for anything else, I wouldn’t come here! We won’t return! Location is great!

We stayed in a cabin that was both spacious and clean. The staff were professional and friendly. The location is unbeatable - just meters from the lagoon and local restaurants, yet remarkably quiet at night. The only drawback is the bathroom, which felt a bit dated, but we would definitely return!
