Tripadvisor· a month agoWe stayed several nights at this lovely small hotel in Amsterdam in the museum district. It was an easy walk to both the Rijksmuseum, and the Van Gogh museum. Located an a quiet tree lined side street, we enjoyed walking to nearby sights and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were welcomed with ice water and an occasional treat in the lobby. There are steep stairs to the cozy rooms, however they also had a small elevator so we didn’t have to carry luggage up the stairs. Our room on the top floor also included air conditioning, which was helpful for the few hot days we had while staying. The hotel had a small breakfast buffet with both hot and cold dishes; and they had a small self-serve snack bar in the lobby. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby too. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a window we could open for a the breeze and view of the street. Our queen bed was comfortable to sleep in and the bathroom was small, but clean and bright. This hotel is a great place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. A tram line nearby provided easy access to other parts of town. We enjoyed the neighborhood and nearby sights.

Google· 2 weeks agoMy wife and I stayed at Aalders Hotel recently. Our "Small Double" room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, exceeding our expectations. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are already recommending this hotel to our friends and planning to stay there again next time we visit Amsterdam.

Google· 3 months agoAbsolute perfection in a small, family run hotel. Quiet, amazingly friendly service every minute I was there. Great breakfast. Rooms have high ceilings and are spot on perfect. Museum area is beautiful, especially after staying elsewhere on previous visits. Tram stop a minute away so you can get anywhere including Amsterdam Centraal. Also, Airport Express bus drops you off right there as well. Had a nice chat with Rory Aalders at breakfast one morning and not surprisingly he was wonderful. Great history of this family home through the War to now being a lovely, charming boutique hotel. I will stay nowhere else upon returning to Amsterdam, it was that good.

Tripadvisor· a month agoWe had an amazing stay at this small family run hotel. We arrive much earlier than check in time but our room was ready so they let us check in early. The rooms are spotless as are the common areas of the hotel. We forgot to print some important documents and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Aalders!

Tripadvisor· a month agoWe loved our stay! Hotel Aalders was our home base for a week in Amsterdam. The room was beautifully furnished and in very good keep. The neighborhood felt safe. The location made it easy to get to all parts of the city by walking or tram. We were only a few blocks away from the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. We took day trips to Rotterdam and Delft so getting to Central Station easily was also a priority. Hotel Aalders staff were very friendly and helpful. We will recommend it to others traveling to Amsterdam.

Tripadvisor· a month agoJust back from a great stay at Hotel Aalders in late August. Travelling as 2 adults with our teen son, we found the triple room to be ideal for our needs. The location is unbeatable with museums, restaurants, and tram service nearby; the room was clean and quiet; and every member of the staff was warm and helpful. It was great not to have to carry the room key around during the day, and the courtesy bar and chilled water by the elevator were appreciated after long busy days of exploring Amsterdam. We have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Aalders!

Google· 2 months agoPrime objective was the hotels position close to the US consulate, but apart from that there is so much to do in that part of Amsterdam. Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum (de Nachtwacht), and the Concert Hall to begin with. All walking distance. The reception was absolutely great. Very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is in Art Nouveau/Jugendstil architecture building. Room wasn't big, but not cramped. Good working airconditioning. Parking in the neighbourhood is expensive, but wit P&R manageable. There is a Albert Heyn supermarket at 5 minutes walking distance. All in all very recommendable.
