One of the most pleasant check-in experiences I’ve had, which I will go into detail after. I booked a comfort room and was bumped up to the Executive Suite. The room itself was clean, spacious, had everything I needed, and a big plus, was brightly lit thanks to the large windows. I’m taking off half a star because I am very particular in how clean the bathtub should be. Other than that, it can be a bit noisy in the mornings since the pre-school and playground is nearby. If you are an early riser, this should be no issue. The street is somewhat hidden and I felt very safe walking back to the hotel in the late evening. It is conveniently located next to the most popular museums, Vondelpark, canal cruise service points and just a 30-minute bus ride to Schiphol Airport. As for my check-in experience: it was on Sunday morning, June 7th, around 11:30am, I was greeted by the male receptionist with the warmest smile. Initially, I thought to drop off my luggage in the storage area and come back at the usual 3:00 pm check-in. Instead, he reassured me and said to wait for him to see if my room was ready. Fortunately, it was. Before handing me my room key, he gave me several suggestions on where to go, best spots to eat, and even offered to make any reservations beforehand. He went above and beyond my expectations, truly! Because of his exceptional service, I will be booking again and recommending my closest friends & relatives at this specific location.

We had a wonderful stay at this place before our river cruise. I wanted to visit the Van Gogh museum and this was so close, about a 5 minute walk and close to all the other museums in the museum quarter. This is a really elegant neighborhood, with lots of shops and restaurants but very quiet with a residential feel. We could walk downtown easily to get to all of the busier parts of Amsterdam too. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was generous. I really loved the croissants and unusual jams and the coffee was great. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Highly recommended.

The Hotel JL 76 was located in a location convenient to the museums and good restaurants. The reception area was small but quaint and comfortable. The breakfast was waaay to expensive for the quality; get pancakes and coffee at any one of dozens of local places. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room is was clean but too warm to be comfortable over night as the AC would not go below 19C, the windows opened but with no cross breeze there was very little air flow. Overall, a good hotel but I’d probably pick somewhere else in Amsterdam on my next visit.

I recently returned from a trip to Amsterdam and stayed at the Hotel JL No76. I couldn't wait to write a review (which I RARELY do)! I was so impressed with everything from the staff to the comfort of the bed. The manager Torben, was phenomenal! Very sweet, accommodating, professional, personable (and cute)! When our Uber failed us and we were running late for the airport, he went above and beyond and called his driver for us. Bayu and Carla in the restaurant/kitchen -- were kind and friendly and made the most excellent waffles and omelets! (Ask and they will be happy to accommodate your requests). Patrick and Andre were also amazing! Very professional and lovely people to be around. I didn't want to leave! Hotel JL No76, is an intimate, boutique hotel on a very beautiful, quiet street that is arched with canopied trees. Near the museums and the trams, you can walk or catch a tram easily to get around. There are restaurants and Vondel Park nearby where you can grab a fresh baked bite to eat and take a lovely walk. The Rijksmuseum gardens are also nearby to walk through and free! My next visit to Amsterdam will be an easy decision on the hotel. I will not hesitate to book another stay at the Hotel JL No76! It was wonderful!

Perfect location if you like museums and scenic walks! Very easy to get anywhere by walking or public transport. Exceptionally beautiful and safe neighborhood. Felt safe walking around alone as a woman day/night. No drunk tourists, crowds, or noise issues, very quiet but we still had enough to do. Check in was seamless and very welcoming. Staff were impeccably helpful and friendly. We appreciated the complimentary gifts (wine, bottle waters) and hand written notes outside our doors - lovely touch.

The hotel has a fantastic location near the center and museums, though it's just far enough away on a quiet street that we didn't feel mixed up in the busy city when we would return after being out and about. Also great snack/drink set up in lobby.

We stayed two nights here. It was a brief stop on our way to somewhere else in Europe, and we’re glad we chose this place. It was conveniently located to everything in the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, as well as kind. We arrived in a rain storm and they gave us an umbrella as we headed out for the day. The room was clean and comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to future travelers.

Great location in a nice neighbourhood, and the room was clean and comfortable overall. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience on arrival. We found a large stain on the duvet cover and called reception to have it changed. The staff member seemed annoyed by the request and, after bringing the wrong sheet first, came back with a clean duvet cover and asked, “Do you want to do it, or do I have to do it myself?” We ended up changing it and making the bed ourselves, which was quite surprising for a hotel stay. The room was also quite noisy, we could hear people walking in the rooms above and doors slamming in the morning. Other than that, everything was fine, and the location is definitely a big plus.
