If your looking for a budget holiday then this is the hotel for you. The hotel is located within Annecy old town itself, and as a result all the major tourist sites are within 10 minutes walk. Most of the staff speak good English and I found that all were helpful, friendly and informative. Breakfast was provided within the cost, and it wasn't bad. As well as a hot breakfast, there is a selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, pastries and cakes. The hotel is fairly well secure and the lifts and stairwells can only be accessed by a hotel key card. There is no safe in the room, but the hotel does provide a safe in reception. It is free to use, but should you lose or damage the key it will cost you 270 euros to replace. There is also a 24hr bar here. However, the room I stayed on wasn't great. It was very basic and the bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable beds I ever slept on. The duvet was extremely warm and the mattress topper kept sliding off. Needless to say I slept very poorly throughout my stay. The shower was OK and easy to use. We did have a good view of the river though. In all if I were to come to Annecy again I would stay at a more upmarket hotel, but for those wanting a bargain I would suggest this hotel.

We had a great stay at the hotel and an nice surprise when the staff realised it was my birthday. Prosecco and chocolates were left in the room with a birthday message and balloons.

I always like to receive from the hotel exactly what I expected. This was the case with this IBIS. Spacious room, comfortable beds and pillows, good wall and window isolation, big toilet. |The furniture and room need a renovation, but still satisfying basic demands.|People were kind and cooperative with us.|Public paring absolutely next to the hotel.|Location is perfect- beginning of the old city.

Our stay at ibis Annecy was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded all our expectations. The view from our room was simply out of this world, absolutely breathtaking and easily one of the highlights of our trip. Waking up to such a beautiful view made the stay feel truly special, and honestly, every penny spent was worth it. A huge thank you to the entire ibis Annecy team. I genuinely cannot thank them enough for the warmth, kindness, and incredible hospitality they showed us throughout our stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. What touched us even more was the cute and lovely personalised message they left for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed the level of care the team puts into making guests feel welcomed and appreciated. It’s not often that a hotel leaves such a lasting impression, but ibis Annecy certainly did. Beautiful views, wonderful hospitality, thoughtful gestures, and an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, you made our stay truly memorable. We would absolutely love to come back again! ❤️

I generally think of Ibis hotels as very utilitarian, but my experience at this hotel was so comfortable and pleasant that I have changed my mind. The room is basic but very comfortable, with all the essential amenities. Importantly, with 98F miserable heat outside, the AC in the room worked beautifully. The staff are super helpful, and the reception area is friendly, with infused water, fruit, macaroons for the guests to enjoy. The location is excellent--you basically walk out of the hotel into a courtyard that spills you right into the all the happenings of Old Town Annecy. And it was an easy walk to the train station despite the heat. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect! All staff members were helpful and kind. The lobby had a nice bar, games, reading material and great vibe. Breakfast had a wide selection of fresh & yummy food. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was subpar.

We will never stay at another Ibis hotel. Unfortunately we booked 3 on this European road trip and they were all terrible. The rooms were devoid of any charm or comfort. They didn't even have a garbage can in the room just a pathetic little one in the small bathroom. The only saving grace of this one was the location near lots of restaurants.

Location is excellent but the rooms are small and super hot. And this was despite the north facing room in early April. I would not like to know how it is in warmer months. We had to keep the window open to get some fresh air, which meant having to deal with street noice and cars. Location is excellent though and parking convenient. Breakfast was ok for one night stay but would recommend opting out in case of a longer stay and instead having a likely much nicer breakfast in the nearby cafe’s.
