We had an amazing time at this hotel! Great location near everything. Our room was comfortable, could have better pillows as these were flat. We liked the room, loved having our own water filter there in the room, great shower pressure, a lot of storage space, TV and AC was great. Then to have breakfast included, so many option and all delicious, with the fabulous rooftop views. We really enjoyed sitting at the same table each morning and being greeted by the same friendly staff. Check-in and check-out was also very quick and smooth with friendly staff that was even very helpful to keep our bags while we left for the hike. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to come back

The hotel is in a great location, easy to get all important place. The staff were all very friendly, super professional and always solicited. The tour desk was great too, we ventured a lot on our own but everything we needed and asked was promptly answered. They have quiet hours, and it’s respected, so you will rest well! The place has gorgeous views at the roof top where we had breakfast everyday. Also, the breakfast and other meals were amazing too. I think the value they offer for the price superseded, I recommend and would stay again! Muchas Gracias a todos!

Center of everything! We had a fabulous time staying at this hotel. From the very beginning when we walked in we were greeted in English and positivity. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got there early but they took our bags and we were able to begin exploring Antigua. The hotel is beautiful, clean and breakfast delicious! We loved that we were literally in the center of everything. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable, beds were great and rooms were super nice and cold! We would 100% stay here again!

We recently stayed at the El Carmen hotel during our week in Antiqua, and we had an excellent experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always willing to help with any questions or requests. Lily, the concierge, went beyond helpful in coordinating our week's tours, as well as restaurant/coffee shop suggestions. The hotel's location was convenient, centrally located making it easy to explore all Antigua has to offer. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and excellent facilities made our stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again in the future.

We recently stayed here for our trip to Antigua and we loved the experience. Everything is very conveniently close by and the hotel is in a central location. Our room was great with a lovely view of the hotel garden. Our breakfast experience was beautiful with the views of Volcán de Fuego, Acetanango, and Agua. We even saw Fuego erupting while eating breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and area for anyone traveling to Antigua!

El Carmen is a very charming hotel. The staff is always looking to help. There’s a very lovely patio and wonderful rooftop. The location is perfect for exploring the town. My only issue with the hotel was the AC. If you like AC, I would make sure you get a room where the unit works. Not only did I experience issues with no cold air but also friend’s room during the same stay had AC issues. At times the staff couldn’t figure out the problem

We had a great stay at El Carmen Hotel in Antigua. The only drawback is that the rooms are very small, but everything else more than made up for it. The rooms were very clean, and the customer service was top notch from start to finish. The staff helped us schedule our tours and arrange transportation to Lake Atitlán, which made our trip so much easier. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop had a gorgeous view that made mornings even better. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in Antigua!

The El Carmen Hotel was a great place to make a “home base” while staying in Antigua. Our group stayed here two separate times, the night before our Volcan Fuego excursion and once we returned. Stayed in a triple bed room And a single bed room, each had great amenities and were big enough for our group of 3 and for an individual. The included breakfast was phenomenal, especially with the morning views of Volcan Fuego erupting.
