NOT WORTH IT. the room we received did not match what was advertised online. We booked a Master Premium Suite based on the photos and description, but what we were given a standard room. It was extremely disappointing because the room was the main reason we chose this hotel and paid the premium price. When we brought our concerns to the staff, they acknowledged the situation but offered no meaningful solution, no room change, no partial refund, and no discount. We were simply expected to accept a room that was clearly not what we had booked. The hotel photographs create the impression of a truly exceptional luxury experience, but in reality, it did not live up to those expectations. While the property is attractive, it is not worth the premium price if you aren’t guaranteed the room you reserved. Looking back, I wish we had stayed elsewhere. Antigua has many beautiful boutique hotels with just as much charm, character, and atmosphere for significantly less money. If you’re considering El Convento based on the online photos alone, I would recommend looking at other options first. You may end up with a very similar experience while saving a substantial amount of money.

From the day I reserved two rooms for our trip to Antigua, they stepped up and made the experience excellent. They arranged transportation from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua and from Antigua to Lake Atitlan. EDDIE was the best driver ever. The hotel is like a dream come true. Very clean. Service is superb! This was so worth the wait!

This hotel exceeded the expectations of both myself and my family in every possible way! After a terrible experience at another hotel nearby, we arrived at El Convento Boutique Hotel exhausted, frustrated, and unsure of what to expect. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff was incredibly welcoming, understanding, and accommodating. Their level of service was so exceptional that it ranks among the best customer service experiences my family and I have ever had while traveling. A special thank you to Fernando, the hotel manager, who was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure our stay was perfect. Thanks to him and his team, what started as a disappointing vacation quickly turned into a wonderful and memorable experience. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were stunning, the property was charming and full of character, and the atmosphere felt truly magical. The breakfast/room service was excellent, and every detail of our stay was handled with care and professionalism. What stood out most was the staff. Every person we encountered, from housekeeping and groundskeeping to the front desk and management team, was friendly, welcoming, and respectful. Everyone greeted guests with a smile and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. This hotel completely turned our trip around and made up for the difficult start we had elsewhere. I cannot recommend El Convento Boutique Hotel highly enough! Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or on your own, this is an outstanding place to stay. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I wish I could give this play some more stars. It was pretty much impeccable. Probably one of the most beautiful Courtyards you've ever see with a pool and trees and perfectly landscaped. The rooms are large with open ceilings and beautiful little patios. I rented a room with a hot tub. You can call service anytime and get incredible service by the pool come in your room, or in the numerous little cool places to sit. The food was great in the restaurant and the service was beyond five stars

This establishment is a charming oasis in Antigua. Beautiful courtyard gardens, interestingly carved wooden doors, modern and nicely appointed rooms, as well as friendly and professional staff. The relaxation pool with warm water is a nice spot to decompress (not really for swimming laps, though). The hotel is within easy walking distance to all the main sights in Antigua.

Beautiful property with a spacious, well-appointed room and a wonderful outdoor jacuzzi. The welcome drink upon arrival was a thoughtful touch, and the staff was extremely friendly throughout my stay. I had a great experience and no complaints!

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Antigua! And right across the street is the most beautiful convent - which we toured, it's a must. Great location, staff is very helpful. We spent our late afternoons on the rooftop - and it's phenomenal. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Will definitely be back!

El Convento Boutique Hotel is truly one of the most beautiful and memorable places I have ever visited. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were captivated by its unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Every detail of the property is thoughtfully designed and impeccably maintained. The architecture, decor, and atmosphere transport you to another era while still providing all the comfort and elegance of a world-class boutique hotel. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail was remarkable. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of character. One of the most impressive features was the stunning hand-carved wooden doors, adorned with beautiful religious artwork depicting biblical scenes, nuns, and priests, reflecting the rich history and cultural heritage of Antigua Guatemala. The gardens are absolutely breathtaking, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere throughout the property. Every corner of the hotel feels like a work of art and provides countless opportunities for beautiful photos and unforgettable moments. The service was exceptional. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcome from beginning to end. The food was outstanding. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or simply visiting Antigua, I highly recommend stopping by for lunch, brunch, or dinner. The dining experience alone is worth the visit. If you’re planning a trip to Antigua Guatemala, El Convento Boutique Hotel is a must-visit destination. And even if you’re not staying overnight, make time to visit, explore the beautiful grounds, and enjoy a meal. It is truly one of Antigua’s hidden treasures and an experience you won’t forget. A must-see, must-visit, and must-experience place in Antigua Guatemala. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨🌿🏛️🍽️
