We visited to Ramada hotel at Colombo for the dinner buffet on 2026.07.11 Saturday with my family. Foods were good..our Dinner make more special by suharsha at the hopper station with really good testy hoppers. And his service was very very nice. Superb........ Suharsha tolk with very friendly and great. Chef suharsha thank you for your lovely support and smile.

We booked a Deluxe Category Room at Ramada Colombo, but unfortunately, we felt that the room was not worth the price we paid. The room did not look like the photos shown booking.com, and there was no proper view. The windows were also closed and could not be opened, which made the room feel uncomfortable. The room itself was generally clean, but we noticed some used toothbrushes that had not been properly removed, which made us feel that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly. I also requested several times in advance for a simple bed decoration for a birthday celebration, but unfortunately, my request was not properly taken care of. This was especially disappointing because it was for a special occasion. If you are planning to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or any other special day, I would recommend considering other options where guest requests and special occasions are given more attention. The biggest disappointment was the staff service. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem very friendly or welcoming. Even when we smiled and tried to be friendly, we rarely received a smile or warm response in return. We understand that staff can have difficult days, but as guests who are paying for our stay, we expected a more welcoming attitude and better customer service. Even a simple smile and friendly greeting would have made a big difference to our experience. Overall, there is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of hospitality and attention to detail.

The staff at the Ramada are so nice and professional. Ravi the duty manager is a really nice guy and will do anything to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Matisha in the Bar makes beautiful drinks, best orange juice ever! Thank you to all the staff for making me feel very welcome and happy for my first stay in Sri Lanka. When in Colombo i will be staying at the Ramada. Hopefully see you soon!

Even though the hotel is quite old however, its location is pretty convenient. With a great pool suitable for kids and Adults. Their food variety could’ve been better for international guests, specifically during breakfast. Our stay was great and they even brought us a kids crib to make our stay even better.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The buffet spread was extremely limited, with many items repeated around the buffet to make it look larger than it actually was. Most of the savouries were not particularly tasty, and some food, especially the sushi, did not seem fresh. I understand the price point may not allow for premium ingredients, but freshness should never be compromised. Many items also appeared to be outsourced. The service was equally disappointing. At the beginning, I noticed 3–4 managers standing around the entrance, yet basic things like tea cups, tea sachets and iced coffee were not replenished until guests asked. Within an hour, the live station inside had already closed, and later the managers seemed to disappear. Table clearance was slow and we repeatedly had to ask for tables to be cleared. When I asked one waiter for a refill, I was told that he was working inside and that I should ask the waiter responsible for the outside area. Guests should not have to manage the hotel's internal responsibilities. The outdoor pool area was also full of crows and looked more like a fish market than a hotel dining area. There seemed to be very little effort to control the situation. Cleanliness was another concern. I had a baby pram and wanted to keep it under the table, but the area underneath was so dirty that I couldn't. Tables were also not being cleared consistently. When my wife needed somewhere private to feed our baby, reception told us to speak to the Duty Manager. We eventually had to use the business centre. A simple request like this should be something staff are empowered to assist with without having to search for a Duty Manager for hours. The ice cream was overly sweet and creamy, the orange tea was far too sweet, and the ice cream storage thingy was broken. One positive was the chef at the waffle station. His attention to detail was excellent. As someone who works as a Hotel General Manager, I was particularly surprised because these are basic operational issues. From what I observed, there appeared to be sufficient manpower. The problem seemed to be supervision, ownership and empowerment rather than staffing levels. If I were managing the outlet, I would reduce the number of managers and focus on empowering the team, improving supervision, maintaining freshness and cleanliness, and ensuring basic service standards are consistently followed. Unfortunately, for me, the overall experience fell well below what I would expect from Ramada Colombo.

Having business trip and stay 1 week here. The room is very big, have bath tub, 2 mineral water bottle provided daily, air cond in the room is fine. The breakfast buffet start at 6.30A.M., but can go in early as 6.15a.m. The banana milkshake here is so tasty😋 , and they had menu changes daily for hot local dishes, but the meat and fish dishes provided is so limited, the meat sometimes very hard, the fish is hard looks like just took out from the refrigerato without unfronzen before cooking, the deviled dishes here (fish devil, or meat devil) very spicy🌶️🌶️🌶️. The pastry here is fine 🥐 🥖 🍞 . Coffee is good. They do provide fresh cooked fried eggs services and cooked Hoppers service, but it only start at 7.00am at their waterpools area. Next, they provide dinner dining here as well, ordered Mee kothu from the restaurant, and is so salty🧂 🧂 🧂 . Around the hotel do not have any restaurants, or hypermarket, most near is the One Galle Face Mall. The laundry service here price is affordable👍

A Wonderful 5-Day Stay at Ramada Colombo We recently spent five days at Ramada Colombo, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The warmth and professionalism of the staff made all the difference—they were consistently attentive, friendly, and eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly set the tone for an exceptional stay. The hotel’s cleanliness was outstanding. Housekeeping maintained our room impeccably every single day, ensuring everything was spotless, fresh, and comfortable. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in their work. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool area, which was beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxation. The gym was well-equipped, clean, and ideal for keeping up with workouts during our stay. The food was another highlight. Whether it was breakfast, room service, or dining at the restaurants, every meal was delicious and prepared with great care. The bar had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff there were especially warm and engaging. We also had the chance to attend a function during our stay, and the banquet team deserves special praise. The service, organization, and overall experience were excellent. Overall, our time at Ramada Colombo was made memorable by the incredible staff and the property’s high standards across all departments. We look forward to returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo!

We’ve been to the Indian restaurant at Ramada several times, and we are always very happy with both the food and the service. Their biryani, naan and butter chicken are some of our absolute favourites, the food is always delicious, fresh and full of flavour. A special mention must go to Mr. Kasun, the Restaurant Manager, for the excellent hospitality. He is extremely professional, efficient and genuinely knows how to take care of his guests. What really stands out is the personal attention he gives to everyone. I have seen him going from table to table, speaking with guests, asking whether they are enjoying their meals and making sure everything is satisfactory. If a guest is not completely happy with something, he takes it seriously and makes sure it is corrected or replaced without hesitation. You can clearly see that this standard of hospitality also reflects in his team. The staff are well trained, attentive, polite and welcoming, and they make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Good food is important, but excellent hospitality is what makes people want to come back, and Mr. Kasun and his team definitely understand that. We always leave feeling well looked after. Highly recommended, especially for the wonderful hospitality, excellent service and delicious Indian food. A big thank you to Mr. Kasun and his entire team for consistently making our visits such a pleasant experience. We will definitely keep coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
