We had a wonderful experience during our recent stay at this property. The hospitality, ambience, and overall service made our visit truly memorable. A special mention to Yasiru from the restaurant staff, who was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. His attentive service, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. It’s people like him who truly elevate the guest experience and make a stay feel special. Thank you, Yasiru, for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. We would love to visit again! ⭐️✨

For Yasiru at Taj We had the most wonderful 3 days at Taj, and I must say it was one of the best hospitality experiences we have ever had. This was all because of Mr. Yasiru, the Manager. His hospitality was beyond exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so welcomed and cared for. He was always available, extremely courteous, and anticipated our needs even before we asked. His warmth, professionalism and genuine smile made our entire stay so special. He truly made our day, every single day of our stay. People like him are the real asset to the Taj brand. I would strongly recommend that such dedicated and outstanding talent be recognized and promoted. He truly deserves it. Thank you Yasiru for making our Taj memories unforgettable. We will definitely be back only because of you!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and modern amenities. My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Taj Samudra in Colombo. The room was comfortable and the hospitality was excellent. We want to think all the staff at the hotel who made our stay so enjoyable. There were so many great staff members, we wanted to especially thank Suranga, Kumara and Dhammika at the front desk, Anjalee at the reception, Gayan from housekeeping as well as the lovely staff at the Port of Call restaurant where we enjoyed tasty meals. We particularly wanted to thank Chatura, Asanga, Harsha, Bhagya, Fatima and Waranga from the restaurant for their friendly hospitality. It was a great stay at the hotel, and we hope to come back again soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, and a special mention goes to Berni at the reception, who was truly amazing! She was incredibly helpful, responsive, and prompt with every request, making our check-in experience smooth and hassle-free. What made our stay even more special was the way she took care of all the arrangements for our special day. She ensured that the room decor was beautiful and thoughtfully arranged, making the occasion even more memorable for us. Berni’s warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made a difference. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well taken care of. A big thank you to Berni for making our stay so special! She is a real asset to the hotel. Highly recommend this place for the excellent hospitality and wonderful service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We recently celebrated our wedding at Taj Samudra Colombo and stayed for two nights, and we could not have been happier with our experience. A special thank you to Thisal for coordinating everything from the management side with great professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. We are also extremely grateful to Captain Kalum, who coordinated everything flawlessly on our wedding day and ensured that every detail was taken care of, allowing us and our families to enjoy the occasion without worry. We would like to sincerely thank the Chef Niranjan and the entire culinary team for the outstanding food. The quality, variety, and taste were exceptional, and our guests had nothing but praise for the dining experience. The hospitality shown both at the buffet and during our room stay was truly extraordinary. A heartfelt appreciation also goes to Gayan and Tharushi from the housekeeping team. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. They took excellent care of our room and always greeted us with genuine hospitality. What impressed us most was the team’s flexibility, convenience, and willingness to accommodate our requests throughout the planning process. Combined with the reasonable pricing and excellent value for the quality of service provided, Taj Samudra made wedding planning much easier than we expected. We highly recommend Taj Samudra Colombo for weddings, celebrations, and memorable stays.

Our stay at Taj Samudra Colombo was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standards expected from a luxury hotel. The property is clearly outdated and in desperate need of renovation. The rooms and common areas feel old, tired, and do not justify the premium price. One of the biggest concerns was that guests were openly smoking in the corridors. The smell of cigarette smoke spread through the hallways, making it very unpleasant, especially for families with children. It was surprising that such behavior was not controlled by the hotel. Housekeeping was by far the worst part of our stay. Our room was not properly serviced, drinking water was not refilled, and fresh towels were not provided without repeatedly asking. These are basic expectations at any hotel, let alone a five-star property. Breakfast was another major letdown. The dining area was overcrowded and completely chaotic, feeling more like a busy marketplace than a luxury hotel restaurant. Guests were moving in every direction, queues were poorly managed, and the overall experience was stressful rather than enjoyable. For a hotel carrying the Taj name, I expected exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this stay delivered neither. There are far better luxury hotels in Colombo that offer modern facilities, better housekeeping, and a much more relaxing guest experience. I would not recommend Taj Samudra Colombo and would not choose to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Samudra Colombo during our family holiday in Sri Lanka. The hotel enjoys an excellent location overlooking the ocean and provides easy access to Colombo’s key attractions. The hospitality throughout our stay was outstanding, and the team consistently made us feel welcome and valued. We particularly appreciated the room upgrades offered during our extended stay, which enhanced our overall experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, relaxing, and very family-friendly, making it ideal for guests travelling with children. A special mention goes to Mr. Prasanth from Housekeeping, whose exceptional service, attention to detail, and warm attitude made a lasting impression. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly reflects the high standards of the hotel. We highly recommend Taj Samudra Colombo and look forward to returning in the future.
