This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and kids friendly. We stayed with our one year old daughter and we loved it. We will be back for sure. To reassure everyone, people without kids were accommodated with the most hospitality as well - which we loved. There is a pool that kids are not allowed to go to. We loved their breakfast! So yummy and so many things to choose from. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to be back!

A superb hotel, high quality but with a family feel. Food was very good each night and the small lunch certainly isnt that, it was like being in an all exclusive. The cheese buffet each night must have at least 50 cheeses Walkable into Garmisch centre and very central for the key sites in the beautiful area surrounding. Wellness was top quality and spotless though maybe another entrance to the outdoor pool / sunbed area for those not wanting to walk by naked bodies to get there? Staff were very friendly throughout and helped make the stay so good. When you look att he room cost which includes the meals and the wellness area, it is very good value for money Thank you will recommend to all our friends

Obermuhle is located on the Loisach River close to Garmisch’s Marianplatz. The property has a nine hole mini-golf course, ping pong tables, as well as inside game room and small playground. The restaurant serves three meals per day. The adults only spa is wonderful, with an outdoor infinity pool. We booked an Alpine Soa suite with our own sauna and a view of the Alpsitze and Waxenstein range. Underground parking is convenient. Overall, our stay was very relaxing. High points include housekeeping, the spa, and lunch. The BBQ night was a treat as well. Breakfast could get crowded at the buffet and the dinner service was a little uneven. I’d certainly stay at the Obermuhle again, but would look for more at the start and end of the day.

I spent three nights. The first time I climbed in the cozy bed I wasn’t sure I would get out of it! The rooms are nicely appointed with a small, affordable minibar and heated floors. The company I came with arranged 4 course dinner choices for us. The food was gourmet, the cheese bar Amazing and the service attentive. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style with variety. I loved the fresh-made juices! The location is just a couple blocks from the city center and the front desk will help get you wherever you want to go. There are two free spa areas. One for families and one adults only. The adult area includes a heated outdoor pool, 3 saunas, a steam room, ice and rain shower, and two lounges to enjoy a nice drink and some snacks as you lounge with a book.

Obermühle has been our go-to hotel for winter holidays for the past 3 years and each time we come back, it blows our mind like the first time. It’s an incredibly tasteful, comfortable and quality place that is perfectly situated in Garmisch. The staff are hands down some of the friendliest, most welcoming and helpful we’ve ever met. I have to give a personal shoutout to the waiters and waitresses, namely Stefanos and Fragitsa, who not only made the whole dining experience flawless but made my children feel seen and welcomed too. They are wonderful souls and we’re so glad to have met them. Obermühle will continue to be our winter holiday escape for many years to come as it’s one of the very few places I can genuinely, wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you for everything 🤍

We had a very special family stay at this hotel with a group of 13 friends with families. The hotel is very cosy with a very nice spa that we enjoyed after skiing. The hotel staff helped us with all the arrangements and made us feel like at home. At the restaurant the staff was exceptionally nice accommodating our requests and showing agility to all our demands. I would like to mention especially Milenko, Stefanos and Franya !!! Highly recommend this place.

It was such a pleasure to spend our family holidays in this wonderful hotel. The personnel was exceptional, and I’d like particularly mention Sophia and Svetlana in the reception. The restaurant staff was very responsive especially Stephanos and Frania who made us feel like at home. Thank you so much we’ll definitely come back.

This hotel is more than just a hotel. It offers genuine hospitality, warmth, and an indescribably friendly, open, and inclusive atmosphere—combined with outstanding local and international cuisine. Everywhere you look, you are greeted by exceptionally friendly staff with big, welcoming smiles, and by the magical beauty of the Alpine landscape and the Zugspitze, so close it feels as if you could almost touch it. We stayed there for a week with our family during Christmas 2025 (the last week of the year), and the experience was unforgettable. Christmas Eve (Heiligabend) was celebrated with live music, wonderfully diverse food, and a truly beautiful setting. We would like to sincerely thank Stefanos, Fragitsa, and their many kind colleagues from around the world who made us feel completely at home during our stay at Obermühle. Special thanks as well to Yarek and others for the beautiful music, and to Mr. Wolf and his family for creating and maintaining such an outstanding institution as Obermühle—one that offers exceptional service and brings so much happiness to its guests. Thank you to the entire Obermühle team. This was our first stay, but certainly not our last! Family Scott
