I was lucky enough to stay for two nights. It's a very basic hotel, but very well located. The staff are also very friendly and do their best, like TEA, the hostess, also serve during breakfast. She's very attentive, tries to make sure everything is in order, and is always smiling.

Generally good location as it is right next to the train station (less than 5 minutes walk) and a 20 to 30 minutes walk from the hotel to the tourist spots in the city central (might be a bit of a walk for the elderly). Pretty average room with just a towel but you cant' complain for the price. The only issue I had was what was mentioned by other visitors, the windows cannot be opened and you are not able to adjust the aircon settings. You will have to talk to the front counter to adjust your room temperature. However, even after adjusting aircon, the room was still stuffy.

I stayed in this hotel with work recently. I travel all over the world and stay in any hotel that is available from budget to 5 star, depending on what is available at the times. This is a budget hotel so I wouldn’t assume any bells ad whistles but, I do expect the rooms to be cleaned regularly. After asking several time for my room to be cleaned and having to get my own towels I did notice that housekeeping had the. Come in after the fifth day - they cleaned the shower and left some towels, did not make the bed or clean anything else. I’ve actually never been to a hotel that neglects the basics like this. In a plus side, the receptionist and bar staff are very polite and well mannered. I don’t expect anything but the bare minimum at a budget hotel but they don’t even provide this here. The breakfast is terrible - I’d rather pay a little extra and get something better.

This is easily the best Ibis Budget I've stayed in. It's in a really handy location for the Dampoort train station which is a few minutes walk away and it's not too far by foot to the centre (10ish mins). The staff were super nice and friendly - I made an error with my booking but they dealt with it with no issues whatsoever within seconds. The communal spaces and breakfast were well beyond expectations for a budget hotel. Yes, the rooms are super small but great for affordable, short stays. My only little issue was that there was very little soap available, but as we only stayed one night it wasn't a major issue. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms are a bit small (but this makes them cozy) and very clean. Staff is very helpful. It’s very good for a budget hotel. I’ve stayed a few times and find it very comfy—the blackout curtains are a great touch! The amenities and proximity to Gent Dampoort/the city center are great too. The walls are the thickest nor are they the thinnest. I slept very well. Would recommend!

My friend and I stayed in a twin here and had a brilliant time. There is outdoor and indoor space that can be used, cleaners were frequent and mostly the staff at reception were fantastic! They allowed me to check-in earlier be ause the room was available for no fee and they stored our food in the fridge for us. I would absolutely recommend this stay!

Small room 13 m2 as booked for three pax. Clean room, bathroom and towels, quiet AC. Hotel Bar has a quiet terrace and a good selection of drinks. Bathroom only features 2 hooks for three bath towels. No hand towels provided! No hangers, no storage for clothes a small wardrobe only. Breakfast OK/ as expected for three star hotel. For overnight stay a good choice. Friendly staff.

We had a great stay here! The location was perfect — super close to the bus station and only a 20-minute walk to downtown. The breakfast, staff, and amenities were amazing. They even have a small gym for an additional fee, and if you work remotely like me, there’s a nice space at reception where you can get some work done. The only thing I found a little strange was the 3-person dorm, as it was quite small. But besides that, everything was great: the beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was super clean, and the whole place felt very well maintained. Overall, I would 100% recommend staying here and would definitely come back!
