Villa Nora Hvar

Start at the hotel's own Lucullus Restaurant on the first floor for local dishes like goat baked in a brick oven. In the old town lanes, Konoba Maestro serves excellent black risotto, and Konoba Luviji offers homely Dalmatian food. For seafood by the harbor, Dva Ribara is a family-run favorite, and Val Marina Restaurant is close to the hotel. Pizza lovers can head to Pizzeria Kogo on the main square. The area around Petra Hektorovića is packed with small eateries, so exploring the alleys will turn up plenty more options nearby.

Villa Nora Hvar sits in the heart of the old town, right next to the main square, Pjaca, with the harbor and bus station about a two-minute walk away. The 14th-century palace is set in narrow, cobbled stone lanes lined with shops, restaurants, and historic palaces. Španjola Fortress is a three-minute walk, and Bonj Beach is eight minutes on foot, while Plaža Malo Zaraće is 5.9 km and Plaža Dubovica 8.0 km away. The nearby sights like the cathedral and Bishop's Palace are within a few minutes' walk. The immediate area is lively with dining and bars, yet the hotel's own Lucullus restaurant offers island classics if you prefer to stay in.

From Split Airport, the nearest airport about 82 km away, you can take a taxi or pre-book an airport transfer arranged by the hotel. The ride leads to the Split ferry port, where a catamaran or ferry crosses to Hvar Town. Staff famously meet guests at the ferry and walk luggage through the alleys to the hotel, about a five-minute walk from the port. The main train station is also in Split, and you'd follow the same route: train to the port, then ferry. Alternatively, a taxi from Split to Hvar involves a ferry leg, so the pre-booked transfer is the smoothest option.

Evenings around Villa Nora start right at the hotel: the Lucullus restaurant serves island classics like goat and langouste soup, and there's often live music. Just steps from the main square, you'll find plenty of harborfront spots like Dva Ribara and Val Marina Restaurant for seafood dinners. For drinks, BackLane Craft Bar and Kalavanda Music Bar are near the market, both with cocktails and outdoor seating. Španjola Fortress is a 3-minute walk up, offering a scenic end to the day. If you want to go further, the harbor and bus station are two minutes away for an evening trip elsewhere.
