The purpose of this trip was for it to be a relaxing, enjoyable summer holiday. At the end of our stay we were very satisfied with the Hotel and the staff, and we certainly enjoyed our stay. The check-in process was quick and smooth. The open-air reception looked fabulous. We booked a villa with two bedrooms and a pool. Our daughter and we had our private space- she was very happy about it. The living room was bright, spacious, and modern and it is a separate building and isn’t connected to the bedrooms, which is a benefit. The villa was very clean and even though the hotel is 10 years old, there aren’t visible signs of decay or damage. Overall, the layout of the villa was excellent! The pool was superb, clean, and warm. It was such a joy to use it! The hotel itself not a big one, but has all the necessary amenities and services you can think of. And most importantly, you feel calm and comfortable, rarely meeting and seeing other hotel guests (although the hotel was full). It is also worth to highlight the lounge, where they serve the afternoon tea, followed by evening cocktails. It is very cozy with good snacks and drinks, and the staff were very attentive. Since I am a whisky enthusiast: A special thank you to the fine dining restaurant staff member who brought me for tasting a Yamazaki! Breakfast is a mix of à la carte and a small buffet. Here, I would recommend the hotel to expand the offerings of the buffet breakfast. It was challenging for our daughter to find usual buffet things, and it started to get very boring. The housekeeping staff did a very good job every day, finishing quickly and cleaning the rooms well.

Best for couples in Okinawa, this pool villa style hotel is too rare on the island.Restaurant serves superb cuisine, but service must be improved if it is intended to be a fine dining experience.

Amazing staff, accommodations, and food.the facilities and spa treatments are all the best we have experienced in all of our travels. We love the daily activities and rhe staff was very accommodating we had ledt items behind and the kindly returned them easily. I would stay here again in the future. We absolutely loved this place it was our favorite in our 3 week trip to Japan

The best way to get to Uza Terrace from the airport is to take the airport limousine to Grand Mercure and call Uza Terrace to let them know when you'll arrive. They will pick you up in a shuttle van and bring you to the resort. The staff at Uza Terrace were incredibly helpful. There were some reservations that we couldn't easily make due to language barriers but the staff made them for us, for which we are so thankful! We booked the heated pool and it was SO warm during the day, it was wonderful. Highly recommended. There is a sort of cocktail hour twice a day in the lounge and the food and drinks offered for free are excellent. There are also various small activities happening each day (like s'mores making) that weren't always advertised, but the staff let us know when they were happening. If given more flexibility, I'd give this resort a 4.8 simply due to a lack of things within walking distance. There is a shop and (unrelated) restaurant that are both great about a 5 minute walk away, but anything else you'll need to taxi/uber. If you're looking for something to do for half a day, American Village is nearby and is great!

Arrived in Okinawa in a monsoon. Being from North America had certain expectations that we found to be unwarranted. Beautiful resort and the most friendly and attentive staff. Room (or let’s say suite) was very nice. But let your expectations rule. Live I the moment, relax & enjoy.|I recommend being mindful not “mind full”.

I liked Uza, not too many 5 star service properties on Okinawa and they were very attentive. The manager especially did a great job paying attention to our experience. The private jacuzzi villa was a great romantic spot for me and my girlfriend to relax, soaking all day and doing cold plunges was great after a week exploring Okinawa. The service was always responsive, fast/on time, attentive to our experience, and kind. For a fully staffed villa with lots of privacy, I thought everything was reasonable and peaceful. I wish they provided more formal wear for the restaurant, their robes are more casual in nature and not allowed for formal dining. The restaurant was a nice time though and it is Japan, so no big deal for us. We were there during low season so the property and beach both felt very secluded. Not sure how it is during peak. Villas themselves are somewhat Mediterranean style. It works for the area, we mixed it up with traditional hotels and had a very good stay. Would be a wonderful place to bring a family compared to larger villas or hotels with rooms.

Overall we were disappointed in our stay at the hotel. We booked their airport pickup services. There website shows and talks about a luxury car, but we were picked up in an old white Toyota mini-van. From the start this was a disappointment. At check in we were told because we have tattoos we can’t be seen in any public areas. Dining room, breakfast, pool. We booked their premium 2 bedroom villa room and they placed us at the back of the hotel and our room was next to a public road. Picture paying for a premium room, relaxing by our private pool because we can’t use the public pool, and hearing constant road noise. In the evening we tried their fine dining menu. We weren’t impressed by the food and seemed basic. The staff were very excited to tell us about their wagyu beef, but was chewy and had little favor. For breakfast the next day my wife wore the in-room PJs to cover up her tattoos. We entered for breakfast and ordered. But when she left to visit the toilet she wasn’t allowed to reenter and we weren’t allowed to bring out her breakfast to an allowed public space. I complained to the manager but the staff speak very little English. They did apologize but offered nothing in return for not being made to feel welcomed or for the hotel not providing cover up items for her to wear for breakfast. The following day we booked their private boat tour. The day was great snorkeling and we enjoyed the day. But the boat was old and worn with no where to lounge comfortably for the 2 hours each way going to and from the island. We expected a boat with at least comfortable outdoor lounge spaces and none were available. On the last day we did try their in-room breakfast as we didn’t feel welcomed in the hotel areas. The breakfast was a feast!! But disappointed we had to eat our breakfast in our room, instead of enjoying the views of the ocean. Overall this hotel was a disappointment and wouldn’t recommend, or visit again. It’s important to note they take the no-visible tattoos very seriously. They do publicize this on their website but then offer no appropriate cover ups to use while staying (the ones they do provide in the room were still insufficient to use and then visit the public areas). Of note, my wife was made to feel shameful about her visible tattoos, but my two arm tattoos that were visible with my shirts were never commented on. Writing this review as we enjoy their expensive airport drop off service in their premium old white Toyota mini-van.

This is our second visit to Uza, our last stay being eight years ago, and it’s just as wonderful as we remembered. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful — exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Though it was a bit quieter this time, we truly appreciated the tranquility The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, and our son had a fantastic time playing in the jacuzzi. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, though I did miss the buffet from our previous visit Overall, the experience was top-notch, and my parents absolutely loved staying here. We’d definitely consider returning with our family again in the future!
