We spent 7 nights at the Royalton hotel as a group of seven. It is a very large property, featuring numerous swimming pools, bars, restaurants, cafés, and an ice cream shops. The grounds are filled with lush greenery and wildlife, including iguanas, turtles, and various birds. A shuttle service that runs frequently makes it easy to get around the resort. We were pleasantly surprised by the 24-hour room service. Another major plus was the abundance of sun loungers by the pools and on the beach—we never had any trouble finding a spot. There was a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. The staff were very friendly, especially Alexis and Franchesca at the lobby bar. Our concierge, Duarlyn Medramo, was incredibly helpful and truly indispensable; he looked after us throughout our entire stay, checking in daily to see if there was anything else he could assist us with. We had a very positive experience and would gladly return.

I decided to visit Punta Cana, and one of the best deals I found was Royalton Splash. So, let’s dive into the experience! First, the tipping culture. The expectation to tip seemed to start with the airport shuttle and follow us throughout the trip. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it, but everyone has their customs, so I won’t knock it. When we arrived at Royalton Splash, the lobby was underwhelming. It felt more like a small, one-star hotel than the Royalton standard I had expected. After multiple delays with Arajet, we arrived after 10 p.m. All that was available was a cold sandwich and water, with nothing else open for food on the all-inclusive property. That was a disappointing welcome after a long day of travelling. Getting to our room was hassle-free, although our bellman, Fred, seemed unhappy that we didn’t give him a tip. Tips should be voluntary, without guests feeling pressured. Thankfully, the room was very nice! The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a great view of the pool. I really enjoyed that part of the stay. The daytime experience was also lovely: nice pools, nice bars, and the best hotel waterpark I have ever visited! Now, let’s talk about the food—my biggest sore point. Because we hadn’t paid extra for Diamond Club, certain restaurants were off-limits. I could have accepted that, except that on two of our five nights, we were allowed to dine at those restaurants. Let me tell you: the difference in food quality was HUGE! Those meals made the food available in the other restaurants seem very poor by comparison. I understand paying extra for additional perks, but the standard all-inclusive package should still offer consistently good food. I didn’t mind walking to breakfast; I actually preferred it to taking the little train. I could also live with things winding down after 10 p.m. But please, Royalton, upgrade the food package for us “normal” guests! All in all, it was a good trip, and I would consider returning. However, unlike the Royaltons in Jamaica, Royalton Splash in Punta Cana isn’t somewhere I would rush back to.

The entire experience was one of a kind. The staff made everything truly efficient. From personalized check in to the numerous options for breakfast lunch and dinner and not to mention the drink options. We came as a couple and my husband and I will definitely return. Our favorite restaurant was the Bella Cucina. The staff in particular Sorainny was so personable we felt like we were friends truly a wonderful young lady dedicated to her profession. I would recommend anyone attend.

My Girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the Punta Cana Splash ! Although we were originally only normal we upgraded to Diamond Club with Santiago as our butler. He made our experience very comfortable and easy to manage. Restaurants were booked service was 5 star and we only had to wake up to find the sun shining and breakfast ready. One downfall are the restaurants as they are all very much the same things in different sauces however the buffets are great and people working go above and beyond. We were lucky to go during a low season so it wasn’t packed and had just enough people.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service throughout the resort has been excellent. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made my vacation even more enjoyable. I would especially like to recognize Claribel de la Cruz, Concierge, for her outstanding service. She was incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and always willing to help. Claribel made me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. Her warm attitude and excellent customer service truly made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel, and I hope to come back again soon!

We came to the Caribbean for beautiful beaches and good food, but unfortunately, this resort had neither. For the price we paid, it felt like a waste of money. Resort: The resort itself is beautiful, with lots of nature, trees, and a nice overall atmosphere. However, the rooms and facilities are quite old and could definitely use some improvement. Our room was also not as clean as we expected. Food: The food was the biggest disappointment. The quality was low, everything was overly salty, and we had almost the same food for 7 days straight. If you are staying at Royalton Splash, your dining options are very limited. There are only a few restaurants you can actually access, plus one buffet serving essentially the same food every day. You can make reservations at some other restaurants for dinner, but the service was extremely slow and the food was not impressive. What was even more disappointing is that restaurants such as the Japanese Teppanyaki and steakhouse, which are normally included at many all-inclusive resorts, cost an additional $49 per person if you are staying at Royalton Splash. I understand that some restaurants are reserved for Diamond and Hideaway guests, but considering we paid approximately $1,600–$2,000 per person, we expected a much higher level of quality and service. We also noticed that the buffet selection at Royalton Splash seemed very similar to, and possibly leftover from, the Diamond buffet. That was very disappointing. Water Park: The water park closes way too early at 4 PM, which makes it difficult to really enjoy it, especially when you’re on vacation with kids. Coffee & Ice Cream: The coffee shop and ice cream area were another disappointment. Ice cream was never available, smoothies were unavailable, and the quality of the coffee and other drinks definitely needs improvement. Beach/Ocean: The ocean was very dirty and full of seaweed. There was very little effort to clean the beach, making it difficult to enjoy the ocean at all. Overall: Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The quality of the food, facilities, service, and overall experience did not match what we expected from a resort at this price point. For us, it felt like we paid luxury-resort prices for a much lower level of quality, without even getting the beautiful Caribbean beach experience we came for. We would not return.

Place has been great, the pool guys are good at keeping activities going, Andy and Miguel have been awesome. The bar staff are amazing as well, Elias and the others at that pool bar took great care of my family. Would recommend for anyone with kids. Food at the restaurants was also pretty good, but I drank more than I ate anyway. Waterpark slides are tons of fun, but a little bit rough, couple scratches on my back but nothing to worry about. Still rode them all twice. One thing I would say, the ground is slippery when wet, especially in the bathrooms - make sure to have good footwear.
