The best time to visit Shenzhen is from October to December, when temperatures are mild (21-29°C) and rain is scarce, with only 4-10 rain days per month. January and February are also pleasant and dry, though slightly cooler. Avoid June through September, the hottest and rainiest stretch, with 25-27 rain days monthly and high humidity. Spring (March to May) is warm but increasingly wet, so plan for showers if you go then.

Nanshan Shekou suits those wanting a seaside, relaxed feel with Sea World nearby. Huaqiangbei is for electronics shoppers and tech enthusiasts. The Langham, Shenzhen and Shenzhenair International Hotel are in Futian, while Sunshine Hotel is in Luohu and Raffles Shenzhen is in Shekou.
Shenzhen Central Park is a large green space in the city center, ideal for a stroll.
