Response from the property
Thank you for taking the time to share, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed the restaurant! Looking forward to welcoming you back again soon, Olivia
The Lydmar's own Dining Room serves seasonal dishes, and The Bar has drinks and snacks. For outdoor meals, Villa Minuty Terrace and The Patio are by the waterfront. These are all on the hotel premises, so you can eat without going far. The Dining Room is a relaxed spot where locals and visitors mix.
The hotel sits on the Blasieholmen peninsula, right by the waterfront with views toward the Old Town and the harbour. You are in the heart of the city, with the National Museum next door. Within a short stroll, the King's Garden and the Royal Palace are both 5 minutes away on foot. The Vasa Museum is 10 minutes away, and the Swedish History Museum is 12 minutes, so you can easily walk to many of Stockholm's main sights. The central station and city centre are also very close, making it easy to explore further.
From Arlanda Airport, around 41 km away, a taxi or pre-booked transfer takes you directly to the hotel; Bromma Airport is closer at 9 km. The main City Central Station is just 1.5 km from the hotel, so a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk brings you here. For public transport, the Kungsträdgården metro station is about a 7-minute walk from the hotel, and bus stops like Slottsbacken are a 5-minute walk away. A simple option is to take a taxi or ride-hailing service from either airport or the station, as the hotel is centrally located on Blasieholmen.
Lydmar’s own Dining Room and Bar serve cocktails and snacks right by the waterfront, with The Bar offering drinks on the first floor. For a short 5-minute walk, King’s Garden and the Royal Palace are pleasant after-dark strolls, while Vasa Museum (10 minutes) and ABBA The Museum (15 minutes) are good evening sightseeing stops. Stockholm City Hall, 16 minutes away, makes a scenic night walk, and Fotografiska is another option within 16 minutes. The hotel’s neighborhood also hosts jazz brunch events on weekends, ideal for a relaxed evening. You can explore the Old Town’s historic lanes on a ghost walk tour, starting from Gamla Stan nearby.
Lydmar Hotel is an excellent base for exploring Stockholm. Many of the city's highlights are within a short walk: King's Garden and The Royal Palace are just 5 minutes away, Vasa Museum is 10 minutes, Swedish History Museum is 12 minutes, and ABBA The Museum is 15 minutes. Stockholm City Hall and Fotografiska are both 16 minutes away, while Skansen is a 21-minute walk. Being on Blasieholmen puts you next to the National Museum and close to the Old Town. For sights further out, you can use the nearby bus, metro, or ferry stops.
