A charming stay in the heart of Lucca A Palazzo Busdraghi was a wonderful choice for our stay in Lucca. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the historic centre, making it very easy to explore this beautiful city entirely on foot. What impressed us even before arriving was the excellent communication and attention to detail. We were travelling by car, and the staff sent us very clear and helpful instructions in advance about how to reach the property and where to park — something especially appreciated when staying inside a historic Italian city. The palazzo itself is charming and full of character, with the atmosphere of a historic residence rather than a conventional hotel. Our room was comfortable, spotless and beautifully maintained. Breakfast deserves a special mention: delicious, homemade and prepared with great care, with the warmth and quality that make you feel truly at home. But what made our stay particularly memorable was Marta’s incredibly warm and caring attention. She made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived, always kind, attentive and ready to help. That personal touch made all the difference. A beautiful historic residence with character, a wonderful homemade breakfast, an unbeatable location and, above all, exceptional hospitality. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lucca.

A wonderful hotel, very central location. Room was characterful, but had all amenities like air con, fridge, safe, kettle, hair dryer. The service was wonderful! We mentioned we were vegan when we booked and they baked a vegan cake for breakfast! They also offered oat milk. Perfect stay!

We had a wonderful stay here whilst in Lucca! It was very centrally located. As we had luggage we got a taxi from the station which was easy, and they kindly arranged a taxi to collect us when we left. The service we received was very welcoming throughout. We are both vegan and the woman who worked there baked a vegan cake for us to have at breakfast - it was delicious and so thoughtful. The breakfast was excellent and such high quality. They also non-dairy milk alternatives too. The room was lovely, it had lots of character and all amenities we needed including, hair dryer, safe, fridge, kettle and air conditioning. It was very large and had plenty of storage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had a fantastic stay at the Palazzo Busdraghi a few days ago! The location is central and anything within Lucca is within a 10-15 minute walk, with the main attractions between 1-5 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was beautiful and comfortable. My room had a lot of light and it was spotless. (And as someone who drinks tea right when I get up in the morning, seeing that there was a portable water heater in the room was fantastic!) Everyone I interacted with at the hotel were friendly and accomodating - Ingrid answered my questions via WhatsApp before my arrival and Marta made sure that the check-in process was as smooth as possible. They went the extra mile to call a cab for me from the hotel to the train station while it was pouring down rain. The breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. Outside of the typical breakfast items (cheese, meats, bread, fruit), one of my favorite things was the homemade vegan cake - I normally don’t eat vegan but I tried it and it was delicious. I could tell that the cakes and pastries were homemade and there was a lot of care put into the breakfast. If you plan to spend time in Lucca, I highly recommend staying at Palazzo Busdraghi!

Marta saved the day!! Somehow, I got my dates mixed up and we arrived at Palazzo Busdraghi 2 days early - and of course they were booked. Marta was so gracious, she offered us an apartment they keep just around the corner, and for the same cost. It was perfect, nice second floor space on a side street - very quiet. Bed was good, we slept great. Marta breakfast we excellent. We will stay here again when we return to Lucca.

Small, quiet, romantic hotel in the middle of the historic center of Lucca. Plenty of restaurants, sights and shops just outside the hotel and within few minutes of walking. Warm, very friendly and serviceminded host

Great stay in the perfect location for a week in the heart of Lucca. Beautiful characterful palazzo building. Marta and Ingrid are friendly and helpful hosts while remaining unobtrusive. Breakfast is very good Italian fare - just don't expect a hot cooked breakfast in the Irish or British style. Our room and bathroom were grand, with a very comfortable bed and good shower. No noise problem whatsoever. All in all a great experience at a very reasonable price.
